Am I weird in that I actually quite like the smell of Shadow when she's been out in the rain?
And I must also confess that while I don't actually enjoy Shadows farts, I do quite like the smellI think it must be the whole 'familiarity' thing. I mean, everyone loves their own fart smell (don't they?)
Anyway...re-the potty training (if you want advise from someone who has no experience with kids) I think that the best way is to not make a huge deal over accidents, cos you'll just upset the wee one. My friend has a 18 month yr old and lets her run around pantless during the day and has a nappy at night. She's very good at saying she needs her 'po-po', unless she is over excited about something else.
I still get nervous when she's sat on my knee thou!!Debt Free as of 17/01/2009 Turtle Power!!

I really fancy a huge plate of cabbage right now. More than a pizza! (Thou if one turned up at the door I wouldn't say no!:o)
Sorry, I'm waffling, I've had a little vodka. I've not drunk in ages so can't hold my drink any more!:o

FFM, trying to be realistic (as much as I can after a voddy or 3) maybe you should go wild for a week and eat what the heck you want??? That way you will get it out of your system and it will be easier to be good for the next couple of months.
Even if you put on a lb or 2 it wouldn't be that much of a deal, as you could easily lose it again.
This is what I'm gunna do when I am debt free, after I've made the final payment I'm going to spend spend spend for a couple of months (without getting into the red) before I start to save, just to get it out of my system, else I'll keep wanting to treat myself all the time and end up spending too much without realising it.

Thanks FFM, I have to admit I didn't realise how much will power you were putting in - I can appreciate your concerns a bit better now
I really do believe you will find your way with this though! It is just a case of working out how to be comfortable with the right balance of healthy and less healthy foods
My feeling is that you're not far from getting this final piece of the puzzle sussed, then it will all click beautifully into place.
In the meantime don't forget to enjoy and celebrate the fact that you're at least 95% there0 -

Nice idea Raph, but I think that if I went wild for a week I would end up back in the 'I'm gonna eat everything' mindset - a bit like an addiction I guess.
I do plan to eat whatever I want when we go on holiday this year - so that might be a bit of a test for when we get back home.
Have you gone to bed yet or succumbed to the cabbage?
Is there a link between the cabbage and the farts? :rotfl:

Definitely a motivational playlist there PLG! Mine is like a chillout compilation compared to that
I might have to DL War of the Worlds now you've put it in my head though
Have to say I'm amused that it ranges from the pure pop of "Take on Me" to, well, "Firestarter" :rotfl: Excellent.
Thanks missy!
War of the Worlds was one of Suggs suggestions.
Talking of "firestarter" I saw the Prodigy live in Japan a couple of years back. They were AWESOME - so hyper jumping around on the stage and at one point they entered the crowd. They don't speak any Japanese so whenever they were speaking to the audience I was one of the few people able to respond :rotfl: It's awesome seeing western bands over here - as most of them are relatively unknown to Japanese ppl so they always play in tiny venues. The venue I saw them in was smaller than my primary school gym hall!
I must admit that I do have a somewhat "random" taste in music!katiepoppycat wrote: »hmmmmm, a marital artist? Sorry to have mixed you up with whoever started it, but whoever it was, thank you! I've been looking forward to Granny's next fusillade every time I've logged on.
:rotfl:
Not just any old martial artist KPC - Steve is an "extreme martial artist"! He's mega talented - won various world championships etc. OH studied judo - he's pretty good too - however he's just not in the same league as Steve- LOL!
As for granny - you've been in top form lately - I take my hat off to you
vix,
Whenever I'm not sure if I want to do something or not I always consider "What's the worst possible thing that could happen?". In your case it would be not getting the job - however given that you'd gain interview experience out of it why not?
You know you'll only regret it if you don't!"Isn't it enough to see that a garden is beautiful without having to believe that there are fairies at the bottom of it too?" (Douglas Adams)0 -

Me too! I'm fully ready to deal with it. I lost 75% of the 8lb gain the week I got back last time, so I am confident it won't take long to get rid of most of the expected 1 stone gain this time eitherI don't even believe that it's all 'real' gain because of how quickly I lose the weight compared to normal weeks when I'm doing the same thing but losing little or nothing.
Before anyone thinks I pig out like mad 24 hours a day on holiday, I really don't! My meals are generally as healthy as they are at home, but the snacking on sweeties etc seems to make me temporarily gain weight at a rate of about three or four times what it should...
All good fun though! I love holidays0 -
