Somebody also mentioned the granny shopping trolleys..... who was that??
Lesley x
We've got friends coming for dinner tonight so I have tried to cook healthily, but it's hard as you don't want to force your regime on everyone else.....
We are having red pepper pots (onions browned then loads of finely chopped peppers added with a tin of chopped toms then cooked with garlic until soft - I have only used one oz of butter instead of 4!!)then you bake them in the oven after pouring double cream with capers over and topping with cheese. I will do mine without the last bit even though it tastes awesome. Hubby is making ciabatta bread to go with it - yum but only 1 piece for me. The main course is a fish pie which is topped with cheese but not for me...
The pudding is a pain au chocolat bread and butter pudding but after we did this a few weeks ago I worked out the calories and it is 640 per portion so fresh strawberries for me.
The good thing about having people round is that you can discretely eat differently without too much fuss.
The only thing I won't compromise on tonight is a few glasses of pink champagne!!NO EXCUSES - THIS YEAR IT'S PERSONAL..........0 -
Right back from my review, so time for my stats...
My body fat % is now 38.6%, down from 46.9% when I first joined the gym.
BMI down to 29.6, getting close to my target range of 18.5-25.
The gym scales weighed me 3.6lbs lighter than my scales, I've tried to recalibrate mine but can't see how!

Isn't it the early hours for you now? Have you been out on the town
Indeed it is missy it's 1:09am - I went out with OH, my friend from work and her husband.
fitorbust no comment! However, I will reiterate that it was not me that started all this granny talk!
raph - well done on your progress at the gym! :T"Isn't it enough to see that a garden is beautiful without having to believe that there are fairies at the bottom of it too?" (Douglas Adams)0 -
Thanks Missy, sadly not enjoyable stuff and hol is now indefinitely on hold as OH doesn't have enough money to go and also start up his own business
Suggsy, phenomenal results, how amazing!! :T Great results for Raph too :T
Read back 4 pages and spied some of the grannybashing :rotfl:we love you really Granny!
All the talk of exercise is making me a little jealous today (hey, I never said I was perfect) and I long to run again. I did manage a long walk last Sunday though and a swim. Off to the gym later to pick up their new timetable and have a sauna - they're introducing BodyBalance which I used to do after BodyPump (anyone do this? It's AMAZING!) so I'm going to give it a go and see what happens...Talking of BodyPump, my sexy friend who I used to be completely in love with turned up the other day and he's been doing it - my god, he looked even more gorgeous, well nice triceps I'm telling you! Swoon

hi all hope your all having a great day!
missyg - cant really remember what distances i did but probably very short in comparison as i was only in my teens!!! my dad however has done an ironman (2 mile swim, 112 mile bike, 26 mile run) dont think i could manage that one!!!!
managed to do 4.7 mile on bike and got sonic and mario olympics for wii today so been playin on that too! hard one! had a walk round town with my fitflops on!Aug £10 a day £0/£10000 -
bails - if you pop back - your pm box is full:D . Sorry things are not brill. xxx
lysa - I think it was me talking of granny trolleys as I got one recently - and it is a true granny trolley as it is funky and very WLTF and not a bit of tartan in place. I absolutely love it and it has made my life so much easier:j .
Had a good mooching around day - pretended we weren't broke my having pancakes, bacon, maple syrup with strawberries in a gorgeous little tea shop in our fav bit of town. Followed by buying 4 'new' dinnerplates in a charity shop - there are plain cream habitat but a nice small dinner plate size, so that our portions look bigger - with the plates we have at the mo are dinner can look a little lost on them.
Off to dinner at are nearly self sufficent friends soon. Yum.
Great stats raph and congrats on no longer being in the obese category:T and being much more healthy on the inside too.I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days attack me at once0 -
Brilliant stats Raph! It's great following your progress, you are doing so well with the gym. Are you still enjoying it? I wouldn't know how to adjust my scales either, not sure it can be done with all scales
Nice bit of swooning BailsStill a bit of a torch being carried there, methinks
Nooooo your holiday can't be on hold, not after it took you so long to decide to go!!!
Although I understand about own businesses and holidays not mixing, I didn't have a holiday for three years until I felt secure enough after branching out on my own.
Lysa, oh gosh I was looking at all those different triathlon distances a few days ago and thinking how can anyone do a MARATHON as just PART of a triathlon! :rotfl:I can't imagine how long that must have taken, the bike part is like an entire day of a stage race too!
My eating for today has been really out of routine and all wrong. Had breakfast, then went out for hours so missed lunch, ate a handful of sweets and half a cookie while I was out, then scoffed yesterday's leftovers in a hurry when I got homeHad Bran Flakes this evening and it all added up to 1241 calories which is fine, but I feel like I've hardly eaten anything for it. I'm now going to plan tomorrow carefully to make sure I get something more substantial for my allowance :rotfl:

You may remember that I posted a query about workout music the other day. Thanks to everyone that responded - I've stolen some of your ideas.

Hi folks,
just nipping in dead quick as I've been trying to potty train DS today.
Well done suggs on getting sub 100kg and to everyone else who's lost - congratulations.
Had a flexible syns day yesterday as I was naffed off about only having £60 to live off till pay day - 11th July. and we have to get MIL a b'day prezzie and meal out for that (SIL's genius idea and she's admitted to me today that she's skint too! muppet!)
Today hasn't been great either as you can imagine - 2 massive accidents and then the dog spilt her bowl of water everywhere.... I'm totally fed up cleaning floors. Thank goodness they're laminated. and he's getting there slowly but surely.
bails - sorry you're not having the best time of it at the minute - keep us up todate.
missyg well done on the triathalon - I'm impressed. I feel knackered just reading about the amount of exercise you do.
raphael - well done on the results at the gym.... Impressive. I'd give almost anything for my bmi to be under 30! You're well on the way, keep it up.
If I've missed anyone out, I'm sorry but DS is now throwing a hissy fit because he doesn't want a bath - he's too wee to know he stinks of piddle - bless!Goal for 09: Get fit and foxy. target weight 11st. 5/80.Get out of dead end job and work for career I always wanted.0 -
