i got what i thought was s pam email through my pm box this week - it turned out to be a journalist asking me for a quote on something i posted about on another thread AGES ago. I sent him some info and now he wants to 'include me as a case study'. unfortunately, he wants a photograph. the only photo i could possibly send him is the one i put on my facebook page - which for those of you who haven't seen it, is a formal posed photo from a black tie do. Is that a bit much?

It's a lovely photo, don't see why not!!

Thanks Grannynise :D I've been back at the pool today, but this time just a fun session with my son. We went down the 'chutes' loads of times, I even went on the ultra-fast practically vertical drop one which I've never done before...! Had a great time swimming through the 'rapids' and splashing in the waves and fountains.

Wonder how something like that compares to a normal workout? I certainly feel like I've exercised! :D

Hi everyone, sorry I've not been around much recently, thanks for the messages KPC and BB. It's been mental here with 101 things including OH's graduation and feeling well under 100% (well, I'm only officially 44% on my best days anyway but you know what I mean :D), and one of my friends on another thread just lost her husband suddenly, so our frugal community are all feeling quite shattered by it.
I hope everyone is doing well, no chance of catching up I'm afraid - although I did spy the tri times, well done Missy! - but hope to pop in when I can xx

granny - after you realise that you don't need that zimmer please give it to me (I probably need it a lot more that you do - my fitness level is disgraceful! :rotfl: )

missy - wow! Highly impressive times there! I can't even swim! (Long story involving 3 year old mini lipgloss falling into a river followed a few years later by an evil "swimming instructor" who thought the best way for her to "get over" her fear of water would be to chuck her in the deep end of the local swimming pool  )

I've been browsing the sports section of the Glasgow Uni website and it seems that they have a 10K running club! Of course I realise this is completely beyond my current fitness level however I wonder if they let in newbies and help them build up to 10K? I'll have to make some enquiries ;)
The sports facilities at Glasgow Uni are very MSE - just 33 pounds for a years membership! :money:

    I'm innocent! :A

I never started the whole granny thing - it was another poster talking about swimming "like a granny" and then vix made a comment about M&S being a "granny shop"!

Thanks Pinklippy :D Isn't it the early hours for you now? Have you been out on the town ;)

Thanks for popping in Bails, hope you're OK, I'm sorry to hear what happened. Miss you here :) Hope at least some of the 101 things keeping you away are good things like holiday planning :)
