dellybellly,
Good luck with the potty training! I've taught pre-school kids for the past 4 years so I've been in your situation more times than I care to remember!
re: MIL b'day present - why not be very MSE (AND extra thoughtful :A ) and make her something? For example:
- go to your local art/craft shop and buy something like a plain glass vase and decorate it with glass pens/paints (or ask DS to decorate it?)
- buy a nice photo frame and put a photo collage of various family members inside
- make her a nice big birthday cake with DS
- make her something handmade such as a handbag organiser http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=632829&highlight=homemade"Isn't it enough to see that a garden is beautiful without having to believe that there are fairies at the bottom of it too?" (Douglas Adams)0 -
hmmmmm, a marital artist? May have to encourage OH to take up that particular sport . . . . . . . sorry, plg, couldn't resist. it reminded me of lords and ladies by Pterry - when verence orders the special book! Sorry to have mixed you up with whoever started it, but whoever it was, thank you! I've been looking forward to Granny's next fusillade every time I've logged on.
Bails, what business is your oh going with if thats not nosy? I used to do body pump too and quite enjoyed it. But overall I hate the gym and have every admiration for all these people who actively love exercise. I did spend 4 hours gardening today so I'm not a total slob.
MY heart is still racing from doctor who! Talk about edge of the seat stuff!!!!! I shan't say anymore in case people haven't seen it but oh my . . .0 -

Hi everyone!
Just been to Bravissimo to sort out the bra issue. (Goodbye nursing bras:j ) Was remeasured as a 34H, so even half the stuff in Bravissimo is too small for me:eek: . I found this out when I asked to try on a lovely lime green one, and they didn't go up to my size. I went for a pink and green flowery one that reminded me of my Grandma's wallpaper:p as well as a white one. Figured that I would have real problems getting a sports bra, so I have ordered one (after trying out the size above and below). I think it will be reasonable, but by no means perfect, but its certainly better than riding horses in unclipped nursing bras:o .
dellybelly Good luck with the potty training, I'm going through the same stage with my DS at the moment, I think it will take us a while!£2008 in 2008 member 552 £1947 to go! (started 20/1/08) Total wins £61

I have (or had as it seems to have got worse) mild exercise related asthma and this past 2-3 months it has been really bad so I have gone onto an extra inhaler. It's quite frustrating as I want to do more but when I start to cough I have to slow down.....
I think I got a reaction from staying with heavy smokers in the States early this year and it seemed to sensitise me to any other irritant passing by, so for the first time ever the pollen season has affected me.
Anyone else been having trouble with this this year?
Lesley x
Yes, I've always had this problem when exercising, but it's been much worse this year and seems to be triggered by other things, such as pollution, aerosols and perfume, and has been particularly bad during days when the pollen count is high. I'm currently keeping a peak flow diary so that my GP can decide whether further treatment is needed.

Wow, when I read the first post I couldn't imagine the ironman being possible to do in a day at all. What an achievment! Has anyone ever worked out the calories burned:rotfl: . Seriously though, did people have to eat whilst doing this, or did they have set breaks?

I have gained 1.0 lb this week. I wasn't happy about it this morning 'cos I was worried I was 'out of control'. Last week I averaged 1890 cals per day. Today I have had 1805 calories and am unlikely to eat anything except maybe my evening porridge.
My BMI is now 18.1, so I know I am okay and probably should gain a bit more - it's just that feeling of not being sure I will stop when I hit my 'ideal weight' - whatever that might be.
I am finding this 'maintaining' more scarey than losing weight.

fitorbust Had to go to my GP for an inhaler a week or so ago. (It has been 3 years since I've had to this). He said that it was a particularly bad year for hayfever this year.£2008 in 2008 member 552 £1947 to go! (started 20/1/08) Total wins £61

One question, from someone who knows nothing about asthma...
Will getting fitter not improve the asthma? (Other factors like smokers ignored) If you increase the exercise slowly will it get better?Debt Free as of 17/01/2009 Turtle Power!!

So gain a stone or two, then lose it again!
Only kidding, I know maintaining is the real battle, I know when I get down to my target it will be so hard to resist just blowing out and eating what the heck I wanted all week.
