There's a place in Bacup called the fudge factory that do a resellers deal - you basically bulk buy and get all the little bags, gloves, cutter etc that you need to sell on the fudge and make a really good prfit on it. Trouble is, there's just one package - and it involves buying 48 kilos of fudge! IF i could store it, I'd do it, but I can't. I thought it might be interesting for anyone doing a fundraiser or a school fete or something. OR if someome thinks they can get through 48 kilos of fudge. it's www.thefudgefactory.co.uk and look for resellers package.
.......so you basically order in bulk, re-package and then sell? I always wondered if I could make a profit out of being a fudge-packer, I must look into it.
PS No offence meant, was purely posted for the cheap joke0 -
Morning all - Friday already, where's this week gone?!
Hiya BB, too bad nothing in Millets, have you got any other outdoorsy stores near you? Sorry you've not been feeling so good too, your health comes first so I'm glad you understand and accept that you should eat whatever hits the spot when that happens
Vix - hope you have a good weekend, I'm sure going out with the girls will be a good tonic for you!
Annie that's great that you've broken a habit of not continuing down the slippery slope after one evening! Good for you!
Thanks Sue! I love languages, good luck with the German, how are you finding it so far? I found having a decent understanding of German really helpful when it came to starting Norwegian and Swedish. My problem with languages is I get them to a certain level, but then it's hard to progress unless you're living there and surrounded by it, if that makes sense? One day though....

What's everyone up to this weekend then?
....."Captain's Day" at the golf club, missy. My favourite day of the year - big competition and much celebrations afterwards. Only trouble is that I'm expected to help with the behind the scenes stuff with being on the committee, so at 6.30 tomorrow morning I'll be putting a big tent up.My problem with languages is I get them to a certain level, but then it's hard to progress unless you're living there and surrounded by it, if that makes sense? ... makes perfect sense. I can do all of the simple bits it German, Italian, French and Dutch and can probably do a lot more than the simple stuff in Dutch, as long as it's written and not spoken. Oh, and in Norwegain all I know is about5 or 6 fruits - I have a Norwegian mate and we started with fruit and never got past it
EDIT: Just looked at my facebook page, and one of the ads down the side was a "Reclaim Your Bank Charges Here" :rotfl:0 -
Afternoon everyone!
How's the weather over that side of the world? It's horribly humid here today - I hate humidity
Brighton Belle - thank you for updating my entry on the master chart
I'm sure you healthy eating savvy types are aware of this - however I'm shocked by a discovery I made today... I got a long overdue hair cut this afternoon. Whilst in the salon I read an article about weight loss - it mentioned to beware of fruit juices as they contain the SAME if not MORE amount of sugar compared to fizzy drinks. In disbelieve I checked on t'internet and it seems that it's true  No more 2-3 glasses of fruit juice per day for me - I'll stick to one glass in the morning!
I bought an arm strap for my ipod today - that'll do nicely when I'm out cycling (as it tends to fall out of my pockets) and it will also be useful in my future attempts at running
Whilst I was in the city centre I took the opportunity to take some more pics with my new camera - I admit I am becoming somewhat obsessed with it! ha ha! They will be good to look back on when I'm back in Scotland.
missy - This afternoon I'm working on a logo for my aunt's new hair salon (in Scotland). Tomorrow I'm heading into work to say final goodbyes to some rugruts that I've not seen for a few months (as they changed from the regular program to just Saturday classes). After that I'm heading into the city to have dinner with OH, my friend and her husband. Not sure about Sunday yet - I think I should probably get on with some packing!
Hope you all have a great weekend!"Isn't it enough to see that a garden is beautiful without having to believe that there are fairies at the bottom of it too?" (Douglas Adams)0 -

Ok Ok I admit it, I am slightly happy, the day didnt start too well, someone's post really  me off, But enough of that I calmed down, went and stripped and weighed myself. Not really sure how I managed this, and I think this goes back to my usual thought of what happens last week reflects on this weeks. Or the running is starting to help?

Japan is a nation of "wrinklies" (Japanese ppl have one of the highest live expectency rates in the world!).
You know those tartan trolley things that grannies have in the UK? Well over here they have them too - HOWEVER - they double up as seats! Seriously! The lid part is especially made so that it doubles up as a seat.
Whenever I go to the supermarket I always see grannies sitting on them having a rest before they trundle home with their shopping"Isn't it enough to see that a garden is beautiful without having to believe that there are fairies at the bottom of it too?" (Douglas Adams)0 -

.......'tis true about fruit juice pinkyplg, it's horrendously synned on Slimming World. A glass is about 8 syns, even the stuff with no sweeteners added.
Suggs... I'm disgusted by your post - disgusted that I left myself open to it and didn't see it coming (do what you will with that!)

Fruit juices and even smoothies are horribly full of sugars, I guess naturally occurring sugars can be considered ok, but added sugars? I still like a banana every now and then.ajaxgeezer wrote: »Suggs... I'm disgusted by your post - disgusted that I left myself open to it and didn't see it coming (do what you will with that!)
