Hi all,
Been to WW and lost another 1.5lbs:j so now lost 18.5 lbs only another 43.5 to go:eek: but can really see a difference nowChristians Against Poverty - www.capuk.org0 -
Yup - I signed up for the duathlon this afternoon. Off out on a mate's bike this evening to see how it feels.
5km run - 10km cycle - 5km run.
Oh my goodness!
Just to throw in for fun, another friend has signed up for a 10km run which I am tempted to sign up for too. Shoudl I go for both? Not sure...
In Lieu of no Ajax, Can I be the seat?
I would actually prefer to do the duathlon than the 10k, I know it sounds odd but there you go, Im odd me. When is your 10K??
Well done MOT on the great news, bet your beaming away :-)Proud Member of the Lose Weight Thread on I Wanna..................

mumoftwins,
Congrats on your loss! Especially under the circumstances - I hope you work everything out soon.
It's such a great feeling to see a difference isen't it? I've recently noticed that I've shifted some inches off my thighs (my problem area) - and it's such a motivation to keep going!"Isn't it enough to see that a garden is beautiful without having to believe that there are fairies at the bottom of it too?" Just caught up.
Hope your pooch is ok kenny mate.
More good losses today... I'm impressed0 -
I have personal ties with Norway, and friends there, started learning the language years ago so I'm just refreshing before my next trip
I've started Swedish since, so thought I'd better brush up or otherwise the Swedish words are going to creep in (I bet they do anyway - I'm terrible for mixing up words in different languages ).
I know exactly where I went wrong Suggs - telling the time! For example where we'd say "twenty past eight", they would say "ten to half nine". I knew the answers - just wasn't fast enough on a couple of them
Fantastic on the treadmill today Suggs and I totally agree that PLG could buddy up with all of us running wiseI can't wait to have a go on a treadmill - the last time I had regular access to one, all I was doing was 10 mins walk/run each time.

missy, thanks, I was really pleased, yesterday I got to 15min, then today I struggled to get to 15min without holding on, then kept saying, 'another minute', 'another minute' so really happy with it. I hope to keep at it? though it is worrying that I now tend to move further back down the treadmill. Dont want to do a comedy moment!Proud Member of the Lose Weight Thread on I Wanna..................

Swim like a granny? I'll have you know that, on the rare occasions I swim, I'm actually rather fast and somewhat graceful.
What is all this granny bashing going on? granny gear, granny shop, granny swimming? It'll be granny scrabble next no doubt.
MOT, hope all goes well for you.0 -
pinklipgloss - sorry about the error: 'one' has to remember to put the minus sign in and I was obviously so congratulating myself on converting your kg's to lbs I forgot the essential bit! I have altered the chart I hold as a template so it should all come up roses next week:D .
Delly - I think I'll add you as a first wi for next week, as you think you might be late sometimes.
Felt really wiped the last couple of days and have indulged in a bit to much food (of the biscuit and flapjack variety:o ) to keep me going. Sometimes, a sugar boost just seems to work where endless fruit an healthy snack don't. I don't find I get a post sugar boost slump either.
Went in millets today missyg, but left empty handed - no troos in my size! Now I know how annoying it must be for you! Did pick up a bargain backpack with loads of pockets for just a £5 from a travel bag company though.
How's your dog doing kenny?
MOT - sounds like yoi are having a really rough time at the mo - glad the weight loss has given you a bit of a boost :grouphug: .
Vix - I was just the same when I finished uni - hadn't got a clue what to do and couldn't get past only feeling eligible for the low grade admin jobs. I guess it is about self belief, and somehow reassessing who you are, and what you want. Does the uni have any sort of careers advisors you could chat to, and /or have an assessment with. Of course, not everyone is going to be a high flying go getter, and there is a potential to feel a failure if you don't follow that path. But there is no doubt you have a lot to offer: your passion about lingerie shines through, quite apart form your bright personality and I think ultimately that's an area (lingerie)you should seriously consider. In the meantime, try and write a list of what you want out of a job: perhaps ask your supervisor at work, what are your strong points as an employee. Perhaps see the next year as trying alll sorts of things as a temp. There are so many jobs uout there that you don't know exsist yet and sometimes getting to a company as a temp is a way of what sort of jobs are around.
Good luck with it - yousound down at the moment - it is a hard going through transitional phases of life and this is definitely one of them.:grouphug:I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days attack me at once0 -
