Many, many congratulations to SO many great losers this week, it's amazing!:T Well done all.
Commiserations to the gainers, especially Dragon, so sorry to hear about that. Good luck with the medication, blasted stuff! Though where would we be without it.
Mick good luck with you dear dog, I hope she's ok and that the diagnosis it won't be too bad.
Good luck with the following week all.

Brighton Belle,
Thank you for making up the chart :T
Not sure if I'm reading it correctly but it looks like I gained 2.2 lbs this week when in fact I lost 2..2 lbs this week.
My total loss to date should be 15.4 pounds
PinkLipgloss
EDIT - Sorry - just noticed another thing - my total loss this month is -4.4.
Thank you"Isn't it enough to see that a garden is beautiful without having to believe that there are fairies at the bottom of it too?" (Douglas Adams)0 -
what are mbts? i like the sounds of them anyway Jules! Thanks for the chart BBelle!
Managed to catch the last episode of the supersizers this week - How good does Giles Coren look in regency? There's a picture on the iplayer but it really doesn't do him justice. Was also very amused at him sitting in bed eating a pigeon pie for breakfast with pink curlers in his hair, and the scene in the bar where sue was using the 'secret language of fans' to try and snare a man was hysterical. Am quite disappointed it's finished actually.0 -

:grouphug: Morning all
Catching up before I go off to work. Feeling good today. :j Congrats to everyone for getting results and hugs to all those finding it hard (or harder)than usual. :grouphug:
I walked 8K steps yesterday. Shall be going swimming this eve.
Yesterdays meal was a success, baked peppers, onions, mushroom, tofu, aubergine topped with mozzerella served with rice and peas. Today breakfast is boiled egg and coffee. Lunch will be pasta salad. Dinner, baked potato with reduced fat cream cheese with garlic and herbs and salad. Kids will have theirs with sausages and beans. Everything is HM and I have absolutely no idea how to begin working out the calories. I have tried looking on websites but give up. In truth I don't want to go down that road. Trying to work out the calorific value of everything I eat seems like counting grains of sand. However the measure of daily intake is in caloriesI just want to cook healthy meals for all my family and pass this knowledge on to the teens. I don't want them to see me treating food as the enemy, it's to be enjoyed. However for my self I do want to see the needle on the scales moving in the right direction.

I see your points. I do feel like ive failed. All i have to do is eat less and exercise more but it seems so hard. I enjoy swimming lots, its just i need someone to go with, especially the first time cos i cant see anyone and i hate it. I dunno whos looking at me and i guess subconsciously i cant do my little subconscious things when you think people are looking at you.
Vix...do what I do and swim like a granny...I have an old pair of glasses which I use for the gym and an even older pair for the swimming pool.
If you like swimming then you might also like aqua aerobix.
If you really really want someone to go with then ask around...I wanted to go to a step class for years...then one day my friend brought it up and it turned out she wanted to do it as well but like me was way to scared to do it on her own!0 -

No way were you letting me down! I'll only continue for as long as it suits me, and I'm sure if it was the other way around and I'd bowed out first you wouldn't have any problem with that either!
I'm not sure if the bigger breakfasts are helping in a 'lose weight' kind of way (although things are looking positive at midweek), but energy wise I've felt amazing since Sunday. It could all just be coincidence because like I said I haven't altered very much... and there are other factors like the lovely warm weather, holidays coming up etc - lots to feel good about!
Today it's a rest day from exercising and I've got to catch up on all the things I've been letting slide lately so it's a busy day.
Good to see you feeling better ProcrastinatorHave a nice swim later. I would say if you're not "into" counting the calories then don't do it because if it's a chore for you then you'll struggle to stick with it. There are lots of other ways to help control the intake, plenty of home cooking peeps with families on here losing weight without calorie counting
Your meals already sound very healthy to me.
