I cycled 28km (17.4 miles) this morning (was supposed to be 30km but I realised I got something wrong on Map My Run. Oops). Total time 1hr 31min, avg speed 11.3 mph so bit of a Sunday bike ride :rotfl: I'll blame the hills ;) Small pause at the 9km mark while I bought running insoles :p

Didn't combine it with a run for the very girly reason that it started raining but I will do a run later if my son feels like going to the park with me :) Now I have my super insoles I'm hoping they'll help me get under the 30 mins mark :D

Dragon :( You are so amazing to stick with this when everything seems so against you at times. Hope you feel much better soon.

2.5 hours of cycling PLG - go you! :D Do you mean you're hoping to do that amount daily for the rest of the week? That's a LOT of cycling! Keep us posted!

Tagz sorry to hear you've been ill, are you on the mend now? Will you be OK for your run?

Efrieze great start to your duathlon training! 'Course it's doable, you wouldn't be signing up otherwise ;)

    hi everyone.

Im not going to bother to weigh in. Can you take me off the chart BB please.

I cant lose weight so im not going to bother. Im obviously not cut out for this weight loss malarky. Have hardly exercised but i know why. Im just too embarassed to do it. I dont wanna go for a run cos i'll look a div on my own. Im too scared to go swimming on my own and i cant think of any other exercise i would do.

So this is me officially giving up. If you dont mind i'd still like to post a bit :/

Thanks for all the encouragement youve tried to give me and advice. Maybe one day ill re try!

Dont put so much pressure on yourself hun.
    Keep posting though.
    Lou xx

    Hi Missy

I am feeling a bit better thanks. I'm hoping I'll be ok on Sun but however I feel I will complete the course even if I have to walk.

I'm so envious/inspired by you. I would love to be so continually active! Don't stop posting your activities - they make me want to be more like you!
    I would if I could but I can't so I won't!

    Missy,

I'm feeling super motivated this week as I'm very close to my first mini target of 9 kilos (just 2 kilos to go) plus I finished up work last Friday so my time is my own (although I do have to finish packing! :rotfl: )

Unfortunately it's "rainy season" over here at the moment however I'm hoping to get a good couple of hours cycling in every day in a desperate effort to hit that first target!

Saving those for when I get to Scandinavia :p

Tagz, thank you so much for the compliment. I am only just finding out what I'm capable of now. When the weather is nice I've always got out and done more, but this is the first year I've done it at a significantly lighter body weight and after a year's worth of keeping relatively fit. The difference is unbelievable! :D

I'm glad to hear you think you will be at least well enough to walk round, that's good news. My bessie mate is doing the run on Sunday too :)

Big cheering noises to all you wonderful losers and sts peeps.
Sorry to let the side down, 1.5 lb on please BB
So grateful to the other gainers for owning up too. But I'm sure you all had much better reasons for gaining than me, I just had no self control in the presence of champagne and chocolate.

Which brings me to Vix. Vix, dear dear Vix, you HAVE to stay with us.The fact that you haven't overall lost anything is irrelevant. I haven't lost anything for months either. But neither you nor I have overall gained anything either, so we're brilliant. And if I didn't keep coming on here I certainly would have put all I've lost back on again by now. You are one of the reasons I log on to this .... you make me laugh, you're such a real person.

    (Bit of a ramble, sorry)

    Oh oh oh!

I just found an AWESOME link full of info about climbing Everest! How incredibly cool would that be?

    http://observer.guardian.co.uk/magazine/story/0,,925457,00.html

Who's up for a MSE Everest Expedition? :rotfl: At 29,000 pounds  I don't imagine there's going to be a stampede for places!

Of course you have to be in excellent shape fitness wise - however I'm outta breath running 2 minutes to catch a train! This could be the incentive I need to get in tip top shape...;)
