really tired and stressed today, have to take my baby (my dog lol) to the vets tomorrow for an operation, i only found out i had to take her in last night during a routine checkup, vet isnt sure if its an ulcer or a tumour..........

Hugs to you too Kenny, my mums dog recently went thru something similar. Vets suspected cancer so she had to go thru an operation & a biopsy. Luckily it was just an infection.
Hope if all goes well for your baby (they are like kids aren't they!)

So, I've been down to the gym in my lunch hour and I completed my own half duathlon (as per the previous link I posted)

    I did
    2.5 km run (14 mins)
5 km cycle (12 mins - low resistance!)
    2.5 km run (15mins 34 secs)

These are exactly half the distances in the 'Fun' version of the Duathlon. I reckon it's do-able (although my legs were a bit wobbly going from bike to treadmill) as it's not until 15th September.

Vix - do stick around! You gave it a try, it wasn't for you at this point in time and there's no issue with that - you don't have a weight problem anyway :)

If you really want to do certain exercise and it's only the worry what you'll look like that's the problem, maybe just for those 30 mins or whatever try to think of it in terms of your health is more important than your appearance - and certainly it's more important than some stranger's opinion who might catch a glimpse of you for 2 seconds? It would be such a pity for something like that to hold you back.

Anyway whatever happens we want you on this thread - what would we do without quotes like the frog spawn and Rooney ones etc :rotfl:

Got to dash but I'll be back!

I see your points. I do feel like ive failed. All i have to do is eat less and exercise more but it seems so hard. I enjoy swimming lots, its just i need someone to go with, especially the first time cos i cant see anyone and i hate it. I dunno whos looking at me and i guess subconsciously i cant do my little subconscious things when you think people are looking at you. Cest la vie eh! I'll give it another go later in the year maybe. Thanks for your words of encouragement yet again. Where would i be without you guys i ask myself!!

Theres a job at my local cricket ground (only happens to be the best one ever) but i dunno if it will be gay or not.

How do you make the transition from sales assistant to something more taxing? every job i see i think na...sounds too hard or naa...dont think i could do that. Plus im proper nervous about applying, dont want to go there and them saying, "what the hell you doing here, run back to debenhams fool!" Ive just had a pang of realisation that i dont want to grow up yet so lets forget that for a while longer!

Kenny - best of luck with the dog. I know how frightening these times can be. Dogs are pretty tough, a little doggy prayer coming your way from me.

Hope youre feeling better tagz :)
