Morning all. Very pleased, relieved and excited to report a 3lb loss this week. Not sure I fully deserved it (in terms of the chocolate I ate in switzerland!) and it is still within the gain from the week before but still, I'll take it!

Well done to all the losers this week - some excellent numbers. Really well done to all.

    I'VE LOST 1LB
This means my total loss since joining is 0. Hmmmm.
I lost half a stone from March to end Apr. I think I joined in May (don't know how to search for my first post,) but it must be 6 weeks now and I was hoping to loose a steady 1LB a week so by now I should have lost almost another half stone, instead I have maintained, which if I look for a bright side means if I ever loose anymore I know I can maintain with my current eating habits. Which of course begs the question why I am 3 stone overweight and currently showing as obese on the link thingy. (Techy stuff isn't my forte.)
    | have been very down the last week or so and this weekend was very very bad, also there have been some birthday and other occasions which put temptation under my nose. I don't fight temptation odds too high. I suspect last week I probably walked less than 10000 steps Total.
So now I start again. I measured myself this morn and I have lost an inch allover from when I last looked but that was in March so I suspect there has been no movement in the last 6 weeks. In a positive light I haven't got any bigger.
We have three birthdays this week, so 3 lots of treats. I won't refuse these but I won't eat any of the other treats constantly being offered. I will try and get my steps going again this evening. Aubergine and pepper to be used up for dinner - will bake with tofu and either pasta or potato. Wish me luck.
Edited to say I just noticed I put my start date in my sig doh! 15 May how useless am I.
    WL 11 st 5lb as at 050109. 160209 11st 2lb
    11st 5lb as at 20.04.09 11st 7lbs 040509 11st6 010609 I wish 2016 175 lbs.

Amazing results and great that your making hard work for BB ;) It must just be me, but it was the sheer post after post of losses that did it for me!! Cant stop smiling now.!

Missy while I remember, I mentioned the 10k to my brother last night, he did the London Marathron 3 years ago, but does not know about my application (yet!) Anyway when he was training for said Marathron, he suffered with leg pain and blisters, so he actually bought proper running trainers after getting measured etc I know their checked weight distribution etc. Just thought it might help. I am currently using my Reebok cross trainer Trainers. Efrieze Well done on your loss!! Are you going for it? Richmond park? Sounds like fun, Hope you get on your bike, ;) your OH must be proud!!

I agree re all the posts of losers. An extraordinary week for many, I think.

I think I am going for it in Richmond Park but I have to wait and see if I can actually cycle! I am going to try it in the gym this lunchtime although I think that I prefer actual bicycling rather than a machine. Going to the second hand shop in Camden on Sunday, thanks PLG. DH is not that impressed - he is more concerned about the fact that more of my free time is taken up with doing stuff away from him  . Don't get me wrong, he is not discouraging it, but he doesn't really encourage me either...Oh well. Makes it more of a challenge!

You are not wrong! I keep trying to get him to run 5km with me so that he can appreciate the achievement - but he doesn't like to compete on something he knows he won't win!

    Morning everyone

Thank you for the cycling article BB, looks like I'm doing OK according to that but I've bookmarked it for future reference! :)

Bit short of time so I can't do all the namechecking but congratulations and well done to everyone who's happy with their weigh in result this week :D LOADS of great results - well done peeps!!!

FFM, don't blame you at all, you're on higher daily cals than me and I know I would be the same, it would be too much for me. As I'm on low calories anyway, I'm hardly having to change my normal habits (it's only 50-100 extra cals for me). All I've been doing really is adding one slice of toast on a 'cereal' day, or changing to thick instead of medium sliced toast when it's a '2 slices of toast' day :rotfl: but that's about as much as I can manage for brekkie. Thanks for giving it a try with me :D

TBH I'm probably the wrong person to be testing this out as well, because one of the main benefits was supposed to be stopping you reaching for the snacks - well, I hardly ever snack and if I do, it's usually planned and within my allowance. Yes there have been a couple of times where I've eaten an unplanned packet of sweets but if I can't do that occasionally at this stage, then blimey... :rotfl:

Beanie (<that's supposed to be French colours) have a wonderful holiday, that's a great loss this week so you can really have some fun, don't worry about food etc! Enjoy yourself!!! Look forward to hearing how you got on after you get back :D

Thanks Suggs, if I start to get more serious about running (that's a BIG if!) I will definitely see about getting custom running trainers. I'm not finding it a problem at the moment but I do only have very thin socks so perhaps I'll invest in a pair of running insoles in the meantime :) What about you, if your application is successful will you be investing in some posh running footwear?

Let us know how it goes at the bike shop Efrieze, hope you manage to get a fab bargain!

I'm off out on my bike in a minute, need to pop to Boots and the sports shop so 10km there, then 20km taking the long way home. There might be a run tagged on the end but no promises - if it feels like too much I won't do it because I don't want to jeopardise Friday by overdoing things now :)

Catch you lovely lot later... and keep those losses coming in! Well done again! :j
