WOW, as has been said, what an impressive run of great losses.
Should anyone out there be thinking ,oh no, I feel such a failure, I can't possible post my gain now: oh yes you can - I shall out of the kindness of my heart lead the way with reporting a 1lb gain :D . I've even highlighted it just so I don't forget to note it for the chart:rotfl: .
Starlight - glad to se you losing after your uncertainity of constant sts over the past few weeks - and many congrats on reaching 11 stone lost:T . Beanie - clever thing - you look like you are back to your target weight just in time for your hols:A .
I just don't have the time to give all you losers the individual praise you deserve, but you know who you are and I am impressed with each and every one of you.

    hi everyone.

Im not going to bother to weigh in. Can you take me off the chart BB please.

I cant lose weight so im not going to bother. Im obviously not cut out for this weight loss malarky. Have hardly exercised but i know why. Im just too embarassed to do it. I dont wanna go for a run cos i'll look a div on my own. Im too scared to go swimming on my own and i cant think of any other exercise i would do.

So this is me officially giving up. If you dont mind i'd still like to post a bit :/

Thanks for all the encouragement youve tried to give me and advice. Maybe one day ill re try!

vix - please stay around (I'm on my kness and I'm sure many peeps feel the same) Don't worry about the losing weight bit - you've done brilliantly at maintaining and not piling on more pounds, so congratulate yourself for that. (Of course I'll take you off the chart, lets remove any pressure). Just be who you are and be proud: you've every reason to be.You are really lovely to have around, truely lovely jubbly. bbx

    Hiya everyone,

I forgot to weigh in last week but am happy to report a 3lb loss - which means I am nearly half way.

    Vix
    - try and not give up. I understand about the exercise as I am not one for donning a costume and swimming and I thought I'd look a spiv running. But, my OH pretty much bullied me into going running on my own - he said just do it once and time it, see what I could do and if I really hated it I won't have to do it again - and just to treat it like a dare (in return I made him cook dinner - which wasn't good for either of us!). I did feel like a spiv for the first couple of mins - but then I just listened to my ipod and passed many other running spivs! Then, before I knew it I became addicted to beating my time before (I think running does this to everyone).

If you really don't fancy anything quite so exhibitionist have you thought about doing a DVD work out at home a few times a week?

Well done to all the losers, STS'ers and everyone doing their best :T
  • Vix while im relatively new here, i know how you feel i went through the same thing myself.

but i have an exercise bike and its my friend, its helped me lose 1 stone and 4 pounds in the last month, and is giving me the confidence to go out walking (not running) on my own

if you dont have an exercise bike, do you have stairs? use your stairs to go up and down (unassisted if possible, or build up to it) i promise if you do it every day for a small amount of reps, or once in the morning and once at night you WILL see a difference.

go out walking, you dont look like a div going walking because here is the dirty little secret EVERYONE DOES IT!

please dont give up, imagine how you would feel if you lost all the weight

surely thats enough motivation to do it?

    Vix,

I totally understand your feelings about exercise - I'm also too embarassed to go running/swimming etc on my own. Stupid thing is - after I get to my target weight I know I'll be happy to do those things on my own! :rotfl:

Have you thought about joining a class? When I lived in Scotland I joined a local aerobics class on my own and I was REALLY NERVOUS about looking like an idiot however everyone was really friendly and most of the women there were middle aged (which I was happy about!) and I was able to keep up with the pace of the class - I'm sure you could too!

If you'd rather leave exercise/dieting for now then that's cool - however PLEASE stick around the thread as I always enjoy reading your comments.

Only a short reply from The Dragon as it is still too painful to type,

A gain of 6lbs this week (blasted medication! still could be worse it was 8.5lbs on Monday!), it looks like when I took the tumble downstairs I have sprained/strained the bicep in my right arm and wrenched my back/right thigh as well (oh and twisted the shattered right ankle again!)

Well done to all the losers (go you!!!!!!!!!!!), well done to the exercisers (if only, if only!! :rotfl:), Vix if you don't stay I will be sending Dr Dragon round to thwap you with a wet haddock - be warned!
