cool grats to you :-D
i havent got a wii fit, but i do have an exercise bike and light weights, i just watch TV and "lose myself" in it sometimes lol0 -
I am hoping to keep both changeovers to less than 10 minutes each - enough time to towel off, get changed, grab a drink and a jaffa cake, visit the bathroom, and in the case of the running part, cycle an extra 1.3km to get to the parkIt's all worked out and I have someone to take my swimming bag off me at the pool so that will help.
At this morning's training sesh I did:
15km bike ride 42:18 mins
5km run 31:46 mins
Changeover was 11:19 mins so I need to get that done faster next time, I faffed about a bit too much
My running time was a minute down on previous which I sort of expected with adding on the cycling first. Tomorrow I'm planning a longer bike ride (perhaps 25km) followed by slightly shorter run (perhaps 3km), I'll rest on Thursday and then go for the three things together on FridayIt all felt great this morning so I can't wait!
Amazing stuff. My friend (my running buddy, as someone called it!) has suggested we sign up for this...

I am very tempted but at the moment I have no bike. Anyone got any suggestions on where to get a decent one for say under £100?
am very excited at the prospect of doing something so different for me....0 -

I'm still enjoying my wii fit KPC
I do a few hours a week on it. One of the good things about it is you have an element of choice in what you do from the different groups - yoga, muscle, aerobic and balance. You can concentrate on one section if you like, or chop and change, which I'd imagine is a big advantage over something that just does one thing. On a couple of them (Jogging & Step) you can change channels and watch normal tv while you do them and it will still keep score.
"The Plank" is on there too - called the Parallel Stretch - you can challenge your personal trainer as to who can hold the pose the longest!
I don't play console/computer games at all, no interest in anything like that, but I do like the wii fit0 -
Oooh Efrieze! I had a good look on that link, let us know if you decide to go for it!
I think to get a decent bike for under £100 it's going to have to be a good quality secondhand one. PLG's link looks goodOtherwise I'd scour Loot, Ebay, FreeAds etc. You could always go to a bike shop first and try a few, see what brands you like.
Organised mass start events aren't for me, in a way I wish they were because there's a lot more prestige attached to doing one of them compared to just racking up the achievements alone. Oh well, never say never I guess
Can't believe how energetic I still feel today, I want to go and do some more but I'm forcing myself to hold back till tomorrow!0 -

proud to report a 4 pound loss!
which is really odd i was like 14 stone the other day, but i went on scales this morning (at same time i do everytime i weight in) and it was at 13 stone 10!
ive no doubt this will go up slightly but its definately a great feeling at 25 to be 13stone 10 since i havent been that in about 8 years!
feeling good (but i do expect it to go up by 1 or 2 pounds)
Congrats Kenny, it's a great feeling reaching the next stone target. I can now say I weigh 13 stone something as apposed to 14 stone something. Just feels a lot better saying it that way.Debt Free as of 17/01/2009 Turtle Power!!

kpc - thanks very much the idiot's guide to the recipe thread. Proved necessary! I know have the recipe thanks. Phew.
Petrichor - I didn't mean spam emails - had plenty of them, I was talkin about spam 'money saving expert' PM's (i.e sent throught eh MSE private message system).
Efrieze - fantastic that you motivated yourself to go on your own. And suggs - how great Mrs S is up for it to (and the running hahahaha), even though not side by side. Missyg - look forward to 'the big event' for one on Friday then:D Having a very quiet day myself - 2 days of walking and my tonsils are protesting so I'm lying low to calm them down. Frustrating but familiar territry. Ignore the warning signs and my immune system can't cope. Next big outing is Friday, when I very much hope to go on an historical survey walk with a uni project my OH is involved in, This will be the first time i have been able to join the group walking activity since xmas so very excited to be able to go once more.
Well done kenny on your 4lbs off:T . Even if 1 or 2 go back on, I find this is normally a short term rebalancing and they come off for good next time.
Looks like you are unofficially doing well babykat:TI try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days attack me at once0 -
ooooh - I see the website has been updated!
Raph and efrieze - you both look so pretty!
I was going to submit my info to Ajax but then I realised that it's all going to change as I'm moving back to the UK in a couple of weeks - so I'll submit then."Isn't it enough to see that a garden is beautiful without having to believe that there are fairies at the bottom of it too?" interesting job BB. I am now in the know!!
lois: thanks for that info. I will probably try and do some charity stuff when my cruise thing stops in october. Give me something else to do at the end of the year
Ew look at tim henman on tv. Never much of a looker but hes looking more rank. Id do john mcenroe any day of the week, but even that old man looks better! Shame nedal won, i was rooting for beck!
I await your post on the reasons why federer is not the bees knees. Roddick is usually my favourite, he wins the best looking tennis player award for me. Well nice looking, loving the muscular physique!
Im cooking my speciality dinner tonight. Spag bol!! love it.
Went shopping today, spent nearly £50 in the grandma shop, M&S. Bought a pink kaftan thing to go with my pink bikinis, a pair of shorts and a bra! The bra is wicked, i can make it bandeau styley! I bought a yesterday too, im going to slowly throw out some bras, emphasis on "some" hehe.
have a good evening yall!0 -
FFM - I'm done eating now so final score was brekkie 31% today (highest % since we started this). I am again happy on fewer calories than I'd allocated for the day (43 under)
Feeling great and not a hint of hunger all day long
