Raph, those pictures are lovely. I think even I might walk a bit more if I lived where you live. Somehow pounding the pavements of north west London --- semi detached land --- doesn't have quite the same attraction.

Mmmm, hadn't thought of that...Hahahahahaha yes I had :D Off to millets, probably when I go into town to collect my new cool glasses on Thursday - make the most of the bus fair, rather than paying twice.
I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days attack me at once

Seems you missed the bit where I said it's an hour on the bus with a dobi sat on your lap :rotfl:
I've not really missed my car since getting rid, but would have preferred driving up myself. There are some nice places to walk nearby thou, I'll probably take Shadow to Saltram house in the week, I'll take some more photos :D

Efrieze, dont get too excited, my prime objective is to complete the 10km, not run it all. I certainly will be aiming for that, but a decent time will suffice. I bow to yourself and missy for getting out there and running. There is a world of difference from running on a treadmill and running outside, the uneveness of the surface and the wind are just two. :)

...Thanks for this Lois as I didn't know that MSE did such funding, how fantastic :j My father was a victim of a stroke...

I'm sorry to hear about your father.

There's more information about the MSE charities here and you can nominate charities for the next round of funding here. I've nominated 'my' charity again, which is probably extremely cheeky, but if you don't ask you don't get!

FFM, you've made my day:D :D . Although I say it myself - yes it really is an achievement (do you remember every bend you went round you'd be thinking, this must be the top. But it wasn't.)

Suggs is out in the open smilley_dance.gif. Well done, you've made it outside. Many congrats on signing up for the 10k:j :j .
Another great loss by raph and good stats by missy who's feeling gooood.:T
Good luck with the final stages of your move victory.
Ajax - I will try and get something written for the website later today. Hopefully we are going to make the most of the sunshine and go out walkies again.
Lois - that sounds a very worthwhile job. I find it hard to get excited about working for a mtg broker, though peeps do needs mtg's and we give good care and are very ethical in terms of advice. No chance of changing jobs as my health makes me virtually unemployable by any but the most fantastic and flexible emloyer, which I have.

Oh and pet -you so make me laugh - even I want to give federer the finger now and I've never even seen him play:rotfl:

Wicked. I know who to come to when i want a mortgage. What does a broker mean?

What is wrong with federer? He gets my vote because he is the only one who has a normal looking girlfriend, and hasnt succumbed to a trophy bird. Murray will probably be dating keira knightly soon.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY for last sunday BEAN. Hope you had a lovelly day. Im dead jealous of your good eating over the festivities. My 21st consisted of a month of, "ahh, im 21 soon what the hell" many times! Plus, im not the youngest here, woo!

I support anything parkinsons related. My daddy has it, but copes with it very well on the medication. Im glad we live in an age where there is medication, to see him on the cross over from one set of tablets to the other is horrible because he can hardly walk then.

I would like to do some charity work but i dunno how to go about it.

Charities rely on volunteers to do all kinds of work, and the best way to start is by contacting your local volunteer bureau. They will have details of the charities in your area, and vacancies for voluntary roles. Voluntary work can be a regular weekly commitment, or one off help with specific projects.

Charities employ people too, they need people with all kinds of skills and abilities to provide the services and to manage the business. Charities tend to advertise nationally in the Guardian and Third Sector magazine, or closer to home in the local press.

    Evening peeps!

Lysa, my body analyser scales give me the fat, muscle info etc. A few of us on here have them :) I didn't have them during my weight loss but I'm finding the extra info very useful now. Especially on a day like today where overall weight is up slightly, but I can see that the body fat is actually down :)

Weather permitting I've pencilled in this Friday for my mini triathlon. This will be what's known as the 'sprint' distance according to Wikipedia: 750 metre swim, 20km cycling, 5km run. I will be keeping the changeovers as short as possible and I'll attempt to time it but my aim is just to get round without any stopping or walking!

Well done on the even longer walk today BB! Let us know how you get on in Millets (that's my kinda shop :D)

FFM - breakfast ended up being 20% today :D It was a very good day, I had generously allowed myself some extra calories to compensate for a bigger lunch, but came in at 159 under what I had allowed, simply because I was plenty full enough! This is unusual, I would normally use every possible calorie! :p How did you get on?

Only light exercise today - 80 mins on the wii fit. I'll run (and perhaps cycle too) tomorrow.
