Morning all. Goodness, you guys talk a lot!

Back from Switzerland - had a nice weekend. Too much snacking and not enough proper meals out there, but nevermind! Back on day one today. Off for a run this evening (I think). I am planning to build up to a 10km run (suggs and missyg) as soon as i beat the 28 mins mark for my 5km run. Will see ho it goes, but respect ot you suggs because I don't think I could run 10km by the end of August (without slowing to a walk some of the way).

...I forgot to say that I didn't get a chance to have a run at the hotel which was a shame. I was just about to wheel my sleeping DD in her pushchair up to treadmill and have a go but she woke up just as I went to put on my trainers! Timing, eh!

Plank is excellent Did they explain why it should be done in reps, KPC? My record is 161 seconds, I'm trying to get to 180, that's in one go though not reps. Do you do reverse plank as well?

Happy belated 21st Sooz! Well done on the 1lb loss as well! I know what you mean about tastes changing. My son wanted fish & chips from the chippie last week, and I wasn't even tempted to have one chip. It's great!

My latest time is 30:55 set last Thursday, and I'm planning to run again tomorrow Let us know how you get on if you go today. I've got a free day's gym pass to use soon, so I'll give it a go on the treadmill too - haven't been on one for a good few months, what's the betting I make a silly mistake and spoil my attempt :rolleyes:

I was in Basel. DH was working on Euro 2008 and so myself and DD went along for the weekend just to see what it was all about. It was nice and hot too for the most part.

Fastest official time so far 28m 53secs - ignoring last wednesday when I only did 4.9km and not the full 5km.

I'm on a roll, just been for a 4.5 mile walk in a valley hidden in the downs. Loverly. This is obviously going to be one of my random good weeks so must make the most of it. Walking trousers look huge on me (haven't worn them since last summer.)
