Ah, that makes perfect sense now, thanks very much for putting me wise there as my hubby was almost distraught at not having peas and parsnips again! Thanks a lot Lois.

I'm sure I will missyg, up until the above ailments I'd been fine and never needed to diet, so this has been a whole new thing of late, but in time I'll get there as I hate being too overweight. Thank you so much for your kind offer, I may well need to take you up on it, we'll see. Thanks for now.

Thank you too FFM, I must have a look at the grocery challenge on Old Style, it's good to broaden (and cheapen) all food where possible. My hubby stopped me from making cakes some years ago as he was coming in and tucking in far too much! Thanks for explaining it all.

I feel I've had a good day today, especially food and weight wise, so all in all I'm happy and have no confessions raph, though they didn't half sound good.

    Night all and thanks, Sue

Well done, it sounds like you are motivated

Nemo, just the obvious one of concentrating on the pecs at the gym.

The chances are that the moobs are improving with the rest of you, but because it's your conscious point then you are psychologically less able to see it, and creating a little vicious circle of frustration for yourself.

Why are you minimising the carbs if you're working out a lot?

I too got into facebook after constant nagging from friends/family and guess what! I found two friends I had lost touch with 12 years ago (when I lived in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia) and it's great to catch up. So never fear there could be a pot of gold at the end of the facebook rainbow for you.:o

blimey, how many pages? Well got thoroughly soaked at yesterdays village fete - went as medieval type. Now getting ready to go to the cakey one - which is right in the path of the freak gale that is heading here at lunchtime. It's already incredibly windy. PArt of me hopes it is cancelled, and part of me is thinking what the flip will i do with all these muffins if it is? I think I did okay yesterday considering i made L raspberry cheesecake muffins, cinnamon swirl muffins, chocolate chip muffins and double choc and macadamia muffins. I cunningly used the leftover mix to make some mini ones, so if my willpower does break, it's not hte end of hte world. Vix i was rofling at your description of the rooneys. it must be his enormous . . . . . .wallet. She does get right up my nose. All that whining about how she has an independent career of her own - yeah right, built on the back of being ht girlfriend of a famous footballer. Still she does a fair old bit of charity work quite quietly so she pulls back some points foir that

PLG that was a quality link, thank you! Ajax, was laughing at the subject of mans pleasures. I once was reading a book that was referring to a chap having a wee as 'blissfully enjoying man's second greatest pleasure'. From what I can gather, having a poo is the first one. Suu - if your cutting cals try a highlights instead of a proper hot choc? They are quite tasty.

The glasses chat was interesting. I've been trying to get new sunglasses all year. Trouble is, ALL of the ones on the market at the mo seem to be those honking great big things. I look very stupid in them so i don't have any.

Well, better brave the weather. Have a good day people! Did anyone watch the doctor last night? Wow!

.......have a fun time in the wind KPC. Fear not though, if it's cancelled then we will look after your muffin burden with you. That's what friends are for :D

Hmm... a reply to KPC and turning down the chance to make an easy joke on the word muffin. I must be getting old.

    Hi Nemo,

Your diet must me fairly restricted if you are minimising carbs. I'm a carb counter myself, but don't think I could do it as a veggie! What is a typical day's food - if you don't mind me asking. Just curious:D .

Remember if you've recently started exercise, you will be increasing muscle, whish is a lot heavier for its size than fat which may explain the lack of change in weight.

Keep going and you will start to notice the changes.

KPC - I know what you mean about the sunglasses thing. I really need a pair, but my face is just not that big!!:rotfl:
