To try and keep me a bit more motivated I've got a graph on the go...I've made it so it has three lines that are plotted out for the next 100 days....the first is the weight I would be if I lost a pound a week, the second if I lost two a week and the third is my actual weight...I find watching the line fall in between or line up with the target lines help me focus a little more each day.

..... what a fantastically wonderful idea. <Ajax reaches for the Excel icon>

    Enjoy!

... wasn't really going out for a Chinese beanie, I was just being facetious with the BMR thingummybob. Within 10 minutes of writing that last message I was snoring my little head off.

Well done again Kymrob, another unbelievable loss. I might as well just have this saved on the PC and paste it in to save typing it out every week ;)
  • Morning everyone, PROUD to report a 1.6lb gain (sort of).

missyg, I've just had my 'supersize' breakfast (wot! no bananas  must pop to shops later). I had my usual portion of porridge + special k, with hm yogurt, sultanas and honey = 408 calories. And yes, I feel totally 'stuffed' :o

Just about to take mr Monkey his chocolate ready brek in bed.

    Enjoy your Saturday everyone.

Well done kymrob with your continued weight loss you are an inspiration to us all :j ...and well done FFM :j :j I'm glad that you aren't feeling bad about it because you shouldn't; I must admit to being a tad envious of a BMI 17.5 although in honesty I know that it would be too low for me, but as some peeps here know I quite often lose contact with common sense :D ...

...As a non breakfast person I look forward to seeing the outcome of the breakfast challenge. I daren't try it as I'll be eating for the rest of the day :o ...

...Vix thanks for that update on the [strike]Loon[/strike] sorry, Rooneys, I don't have any newspaper now that covers that important stuff. I'm willing to bet you'd marry the lovely Matt even if he was covered in pig's poo . Is your toe okay now? ...

    Morning Everyone,

first things first -:j Congratulations Kymrob :j on another amazing loss! and Well done to ffm for trying to change your thinking about losses/gains now that you're maintaining.:T :T

Serendisglair - thanks for the idea about the fruit - that sounds yummy. And I have the same graph set up as you. I find it helps me to stay positive.

As for me - I've had an OK  day 1 (because I had a hungry day and didn't take enough food to work with me) and a good day 2 :D (massive increase in the amount of food I took to work) , still a bit confused as to how you can lose weight on SW eating so much but am prepared to give it a go. I do understand the whole calorie ratio/volume thing, just wouldn't be allowed to munch this much on the core plan.

Anyway, I've decided to try a couple of red days this weekend, but here's the rub, I don't like bacon and can't eat eggs..question for all you slimming worlders.. does anyone have any suggestions for meals? More specifically lunch and dinner as I don't mind using a heA & heB for breakfast cereal.?

    Thanks
    DBx

I always struggled with red lunches, but here are a few suggestions: fish (kippers, sardines, smoked haddock, tuna etc), sausages (quorn are free on red, and some low fat sausages are low in syns), ham, cottage cheese, tinned tomatoes on toast. For dinner I'd generally opt for meat or fish with piles of veggies on a red day. Sunday roast would be lots of meat and veg, and a healthy extra of dry roast potatoes (par boiled and sprayed with frylight before putting in the oven).

I'm really into salads at the moment, even though the weather isn't great, and I find a plateful of salad followed by a small portion of 'proper' food fills me up.

    Hope that helps.

    LL

p.s. not all veg are free on red, but a good rule of thumb is to avoid anything beginning with 'p' - e.g. peas, pulses, potatoes, and parsnips!

    Morning all :)

Just been going through all the posts since Wednesday to catch up on the weight losses, and my DH wonders why I keep laughing! What a mad bunch we all are! :rotfl:

I'm off to get my hair cut this afternoon, and I'm expecting my postponed Sainsbury's delivery later this morning (I resisted going to the supermarket to do it myself - it's been such a long time since I've been there I probably wouldn't be able to find anything!).

As usual on a Saturday I've got a pile of washing to do, but it's pouring, so I might leave it till tomorrow and see if it improves.

I hope everyone has a good weekend and avoids the rain.
