i just hate these skinny people that can eat all day long and look fantastic and dont give a sh*t and then there are others like us who have to work their buts off to get a balance.
There's definitely a genetic factor here. Some of us just have to be extra careful - just the way of things!
Sorry that you're feeling demotivated at the moment. Have you tried exercising in the mornings? I go through phases of morning cycling, and usually I'm too sleepy to work out whether I'm motivated or not for the first 15mins, after that I can turn back home if I like and will have done at least 30mins! I usually feel so much better when I get back, - not my usual grumpy morning self at all! If this isn't an option, perhaps you could miss exercise one evening and concentrate on quality time with your partner instead. Sometimes I give myself little targets, like cycling 100 miles. Once I have done it, we go on a family day out so that I don't feel I'm neglecting them too much!
Is there anything that you could both do together? If not on a regular basis, perhaps you could improve your fitness so that you could both go on a skiing/windsurfing/cycling holiday or something. That way you have a goal. (I'm going jousting when my fitness levels improve enough, but I guess that's not everyone's cup of tea:rotfl: ).
Best wishes with it,

Ajax when you say the exercise is toning thats exactly what its doing, and im liking the toned effect on my legs and shoulders, but dont know i can maintain my current programme to keep it.
..... well that's the age-old dilemma isn't it? It's the same as wanting the 8 pints with your mates and also to lose weight, or wanting the chocolate bars and also wanting to lose weight - if they don't go together then you have to choose. I dunno if you and your partner like sport, but if so then you're in a lucky position in that you could give each other a decent game? Playing anything against girls is like taking sweets from kids (ducks and runs)
Ajax, I wanna see what you wrote about me!! Pwease...
.......sorry bails, it's gone and I can't remember. Was only a line or two.
Now Now Ajax, could have sworn it was at least two lady golfers???
......no, definitely just the one.0 -
PLG, I used to have a Japanese penpal donkeys years ago and she complimented European girls because of our "various body shapes" :rotfl:
Suggs - lots of them - but I look and don't touch(usually). What's on the DIY menu for this weekend?
I'm going to give the personal triathlon thing a go at the end of next week, weather permitting0 -
Erlqueen "Sweet yet crunchy" :rotfl: Thanks (I think!:p ). Thankyou too Ajax, Lois, Jay and anyone else I may have missed for saying nice things about my name. I haven't thought of anything else, yet so I won't drop it just yet:p
missyg It only took me just under two weeks - with two major slip ups too! (One all you can eat Chinese buffet, last thursday that I didn't want to admit to earlier and an Indian takeaway on Friday). I'm really surprised that it has come off so quick, I expected it to take another week or two! I think totm must have been one factor, but I'm still a little puzzled in a happy sort of way. There's always a huge difference due to water retention with low carb though.£2008 in 2008 member 552 £1947 to go! (started 20/1/08) Total wins £61

:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: Fridays are for fun, right? I just had to share this even though it's not remotely on topic or chat. It's the funniest thing I've seen in ages

thanks again guys
actually Ajax even though i have been exercising a lost a stone, ive been fortunate enough that 8 or 13 beers on a friday doesnt have too much of a dampning effect on my wieght (yet)
may have to revist this one though LOL0 -
Erlqueen, you can't seriously have thought I swam 750 MILES?! :rotfl: I didn't know the short form of metres was supposed to be "mtrs", I honestly thought it was "m"
"mm, cm and m"
LOL not really and I didn't think Suggs had done 800. 'm' may stand for metre, it's what the Germans I deal with use, but they take their English from the Americans. I always use 'mtr' so it just looked really odd to me. So if it isn't 'm' then what is the shortened form of mile?also :rotfl:

If you can get away with it and lose weight then fantastic, enjoy it while you can.
Ouch erl that stings.. do it again
I've seen m used for both metre and mile, all depends on the context I suppose. They are that different that you can never really mix them up. I've seen "mi" used for miles too, especially in horse racing terms.0
