Go on C&Q, why don't you get on another of your "WRONG, WRONG, WRONG" outbursts? :rolleyes:0

I cannot change medical facts, however much you would want me to0

Cute 'n' Quirky - 'scuse ignorance - what does a Power Trainer do?
It is also known as a vibrating plate.
Have a look at amazon. The one I bought is a Body Sculpture BM1500
It uses 350 cals in 10 minutes and is the equivalent of an hour long workout in the gym.
It works the whole of the body via using different positions.
I have really noticed the difference - even after the first few days.
The first time I used it I couldn't see how it could possibly use 350 cals - but I realised the next day when I found muscles I had forgotten I had!!0 -

Just because it is a different opinion to your own does not make it wrong (especially when there is medical facts involved proving that it is infact you that is wrong!).
.... wrong about what? I've never said a word about the diet.
It's Cute n Quirky and her appalling attitude to just about everyone else I have a problem with, ask the Ebay board members what they think of her.0 -

Not interested. Condemning me for something I had to say about Ebay Sellers has nothing to do with dieting.
I don't have to have YOUR opinion on anything, I have my own
This thread is about dieting.
Are you dieting?0 -
Welcome to the thread Linda!
It isn't unusual to gain weight when starting a gym programme. I did and I know others haveYou may even find your measurements stay the same, but important changes can be happening to your body fat and muscle mass. As you convert fat to muscle you are doing yourself a massive favour as this extra muscle will help you burn calories more efficiently in future
Plus as you lose the weight you'll look more athletic and toned
Do you have a plan for how you're going to start approaching the weight loss you want to achieve? I know you've said you're already cutting down food - are you going to continue with the gym? Did you speak to the trainers there who devised the routine for you, as they should be able to adjust things to help get the results you're after?
Anyway welcome again! Look forward to hearing more from you0 -
a half pound off please Lois.
VERY happy with that as
a) ate and drank a lot last Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday (staying in a hotel, then a family birthday) and
b) half a pound up or down is practising for the lovely distant day when I'm a maintainer and
c) half a pound a week is 2lb in a month and 24lbs in a year.
So it'll do.0 -
Kelly,
Let me re-phrase on a couple of points. I'm not here for an arguement (so please don't feel like any of us jere are having a go ) they tend to ruin my day and that of others.
1) when I say below the recommended calorie intake I mean for general day to day proper food eating diets. Otherwise there would be no reason for working out a basic metabolic rate.
2) From what I've managed to gather the super low calorie diets such as the cambridge diet are very closely monitored by GP's and the like to help make sure that you are getting all the health benefits and avoiding the pitfalls. and I am sure they include all the vitamins and fats etc.
3) It is a short term monitored thing...with which I have no problem...as a carefully managed plan. someone going it alone with a diet eating 400kcals a day though is something else.
4) The original comment by BB which niggled you was made out of concern for KPC'S friend, which is why she asked if her doctor had done the blood tests or the diet people.
So having seemed to have kicked everything off on the wrong foot.....welcome to the thread! We are nice people!0 -

You do all seem like nice people and I genuinely am sorry for venting at you guys. When you are doing a diet like this you just tend to get a lot of people voicing their opinions (not very supportive ones most of the time I'm sad to say!) and it just gets to the point when you snap. I know your comments were to advise someone else but for some reason it just triggered that last nerve with me and I apologise for going off on one. Please do not take it as an attack on you personally it could of been absolutely anyone that triggered it.
You'll be pleased to know that I'm now over it (got it out of my system) and believe it or not I am a nice person and as you can probably tell I'm very very commited to my diet. I'm glad to see there are so many others here like me and I wish you all the best of luck in losing your weight and maintaining!:T0
