Well, went into town. Couldn't find anything I really liked curtain wise in Habitat so popped into a local soft furnishing shop that's run by someone I know - I didn't realise he did curtains - I just though it was lampshades - until I walked past it this morning.

So I've given him the measurements and asked him to quote. That should be through this afternoon. He had a really nice dark green fabric with little shots of thread through it which will look cool!

Plus, I'll get a discount ;) But, I need to see what the quote is first!

    Hi everyone

Been a tough couple of days but we have survived them. Thursday at work was horrible, the day just dragged on forever. Yesterday a friend took me out for the day. We had a lovely walk in the Peak District and a spot of lunch at a lovely old pub. It was great just walking and talking about all sorts. The crunch times were the hour when DH died and again at about 9pm when I was originally told (some 5 hours later  )My friend from next door came round in the evening and we had a good catch up and a couple of bottles of red. The weather was lovely all day which certainly helped.

Thanks for all the good wishes and flowers, those sweet peas looked lovely serena and are one of my faves, the smell of them is wonderful. I have a vase almost identical to yours as well.

Hugs to you all from us 3 xxx

Progress is slow, actually there is no progress.

Had to go and rescue OH as he had run out of petrol with DS3 with him and no cash/cards.

Been to the corner shop to get a couple of bits for lunch and pay the paper bill. Kids fighting but DS1 gone to cricket now and DS2 going fishing soon. I intend to sort out toys with DS3.

Just going to put the washing on the line.

Pigpen - thanks for playing fairy good mother - reminds me of a magic wand toy I brought for a friends girl which made a lovely wish granting noise and flashed when it touched things

    Hi,

I had a bit of an embarrassing moment this morning. I've sold a couple of Ds2's old toys on Ebay , i spoke to the woman last night and she said she would collect this morning. She said she would ring me when she left so i would know when she was coming.

Ds2 has chicken pox and woke up loads last night with a temp so we didn't get much sleep. So we had a bit of a lie in and didn't get up till half 8. Anyway there i was at 9.30 this morning in my dressing gown washing up, the house was a mess ( although not as bad as it has been ) when the door bell went.

I went to the utility room to find some clothes and there were none there. So i answered the door in my dressing gown and it was the woman coming to collect the toys.:o

I was so embarrassed. Also i was going to put DS2 in his room when she was there so he didn't see me handing over his toys, but i didn't have chance. So he was going " lady take Ben's toys , my toys back " i felt terrible. Just to add he hadn't played with them for ages and they are baby toys.

I've got a cot to be collected now, i think i'll get up at 6 and get dressed straight away that day.

    afternoon.

We've managed to get the boys to both nap together for a change. :j

embb welcome back. Sounds like that was a frustrating week for you. It would kill me - shows how addicted i am.

lil-me we are debating getting an in-car DVD player for Charlie for when we go to Devon in August. DH is not so sure as he tells me they run off the cigarette lighter, as does his sat nav. Any tips? What make have you gone for? how much did they cost? Sorry that probably sounds cheeky but i know you will have researched it before buying them and got yourself a good deal and i don't really have time at the minute to do that.

AnW's mum i am glad to hear you had good company to help you through the day. It must take some strength on your part to not completely fall to pieces at such times. You amaze me as always.

We have had our wardrobe piece delivered :j They sent extra delivery people so they couldn't damage it by dragging it along in the van like the last 2 pieces. (3m piece, one person dragging it doesn't work - and it has taken them this long to find out.) DH has now fitted it, so i have a complete bedroom!!!

DH also ran the hoover around upstairs - not sure where but i think mainly his mess, and is now doing some of the gardening. I have done more expressing, entertained DS1 until nap time, and remembered to get a beef joint out of the freezer for dinner tomorrow. I also managed a couple of internet surveys, sorting through my email inboxes and deleting lots, and generally catching up online.

So if we do not a lot else this weekend, we will have been productive. I suppose i need to write a list of what else it would make sense to do, and then we can make full use of it. I know DH is working in London one day next week, and my friend wants to pop round one evening, and we have my nephews birthday party to go to, but will sort out the week better when i know some more.

I may feel inspired enough now to go and sort some clothes/tackle some ironing.

Afternoon everyone, getting on here and wm ,td both on and line full. Kitchen looks awful but 4 cupboards cleared only another 8 to do. Paper cupboard sorted but need to put the rubbish somewhere. Did find a warranty for a hoover that i through out at christmas only bought the hoover the march before hand and had 3 years warranty.

    Right back to the kitchen.
Sometimes it seems that the going is just too rough.
And things go wrong no matter what I do.
Now and then it seems that life is just too much.
But you've got the love I need to see me through.
