It's raining here! Or rather, that irritating drizzle...I'm half asleep as DS1 got in after 2.30am, and I can't sleep until he's home.

I'm off to get petrol, spend my £5 on No 7 vouchers that Boots so kindly gave me, and the book that Taurus tempted me with. I do actually clear out the book shelves from time to time - exam revision books from way back when, building regs books from when OH was doing his course, children's story books they no longer want, cookery books that I've not touched for the past five years, and cheap books from Oxfam that I'm not going to read again... I do sometimes pass them on to my sister, but her house is smaller than mine, she's also an avid book buyer, and has to operate a strict one in one out policy or they'd be no room for living in...

Then, weekly shopping, and if I'm not too tired, I may go over and see Mum. I'm really busy for the next three weekends, and don't really want to leave it so long. I can also take my sister's birthday present.

Housewise, there's a towering heap on the side worktop in the kitchen...We have a run of floor units along the edge of the dining area to store all the linen, cutlery etc, and on top, the phone, the diary and the pile of important letters from school/bills/leaflets/vouchers etc - the organisational centre of the household! But the rest of the top is permanently cluttered by a shifting pile of items which either don't have homes (the old china when I bought a new set, glasses that don't fit in the cupboard) or things that are in transit (recharging unit for my strimmer en route to the garage) or were swept off the table for the last meal (DS1's mobile phone, the magazine I was reading, DD's revision..). I may possibly have a go at rediscovering the surface.

mudbath - it sounds like you're making great progress with your allotment! I'm getting quite frustrated by the constant rain every time I have a free day.

    morning ladies

we are having a just get on with it day here today, after being woken at 7 as usual, and not wanting to waste the day.
    • all beds stripped
    • bedding washed, now drying in TD
    • TD emptied of towels, folded and put in airing cupboard
    • all windows opened upstairs to air out and reduce moisture
    • mould cleaned up in DS1's room
    • replaced the moisture trap in that room
    • emptied bathroom bin
    • run steriliser, expressed to relieve the soreness
    • mince out of freezer for dinner
    • garage sorted so we can return all the wrong wardrobe bits for them to dispose of
    • fed cats - got charlie to do that while i made morning cuppa ;) he is training well
    • sorted through pile of paperwork on table, shredded waste, filed saveables
    • paid CC bill online
    • rang child tax credits to check everything is up to date as they sent out 2 lots of paperwork
    • investigated tree surgeons so we can get a quote for the back garden which is out of control
    • compost put in outside bin
    • recycling put out
    • last nights washing up put away
    so not bad for 10:30.

My plan is to walk around the house as though i were a visitor, and deal with things that stand out as an eyesore. could be on a while with it, but hopefully be further on.

    embb - welcome back huni!

got some good news today. dad phoned me to say there was a cheque in the post for me for £144 from O2:j ! Not bad considering I've been at them for nearly 8 months to get it sorted. It was supposed to be £150 but not arguing about the other £6, just glad I got the money they were promising me! So that is safely in the savings account:T (ooh I have savings now lol!).

Flying wise - going for the big catch up on all i could not do during the week. Hubby has to go and cut the grass in the garden;) and we have to go get some shopping in for next week (veggies and the like). Off to my cheap supermarket in a bit then going to go heck for leather in this place!

Feeling a bit better today, probly cos its the weekend:p but definitely going to get the things done that I want for a change. Oh goodness hubby is going to be busy!:rotfl:

    Morning ladies...

I'm playing catch up this weekend, I didn't get much done the last 2 days so my list is gonna be big!

    For starters:
    • [strike]Put chest of drawers together in kids room[/strike]
    • Put away clothes into new drawers
    • Sort out toys and put back in kids room
    • Strip beds, wash and put back
    • [strike]S&S kitchen[/strike]
    • at least 2 loads of washing.dry and put away
    • List at least 10 items on ebay
    • Post 4 ebay parcels
    • Tidy lounge and dining room
    • Sweep floors & mop in lounge/dining room
    • Clean dining room table
    • Do a bin bag dance in every room!
    • Hoover and wipe down sofa
    • Hoover hallway
Ok I think that's enough to get on with for now, might have to make a cuppa first and then stick some music on so I can dance and clean at the same time:D

    Morning everyone

embb welcome home. I posted on your facebook incase you just couldn't access here.
serena you just made me think, I got given something in Boots when I went in for the boys PJ pants, I wonder if it was a voucher....will have to search through the Mary Poppins bag.

Well today we're going up to the storage unit to empty the car full of stuff we've bought into the caravan :rotfl: save having it in the house, have to get DP up in a mo so he can pull himself round. Want to make sure the gas bottles fit and everything that runs on gas works.

Weather is fab at the mo, so going to put a load on quickwash now so I can get it pegged out before we go. Going to work on meal plan when we get back and clean the little FF out because it's manky!

Have a good day everyone xxx
One day I might be more organised...........
