    Good morning all

I hope everyone who's been ill is on the mend.

AnW - yellow top is on! Thinking of you today, honey.

Soappie - I loved what you said last night, totally agree, and if you ever write a book, or start a Blog, I'll be there. It was relaxing just reading it. We've got a bench around the apple tree and a swing bench outside the patio window (which I want to change to French doors one day) and we don;t use them nearly enough.

Justamum - hope you have a lovely day today. :bdaycake:

Back later. I'm off to hang some washing out. Have a good day. x

And bear with me now but I got all philosophical a while ago and am going to bore you all with it.

I don't know about you lot, but I get in from work, do some flying, do some pottering, do dinner, clean up after and spend some time plopped down in front of the TV or the computer. When I was washing up this evening (OK, tonight - about 9.30pm!) I realised it was still quite light. I went out into the garden and just sat there in the gloaming for 10 minutes or so. It was nice! Warm. Cloudless. And still. A couple of bats were flying about. The hint of some sort of promise (I don't know what of!) was in the air. I felt a sense of peace.

I realised we have just over two weeks until the longest day then it's all down hill after that - the nights will start drawing in again. I got to remembering my teenage years when I'd go down the pub after dinner (cooked by Mum!) and me and my friends would sit in the pub garden until closing time - drinking lager, gossiping and enjoying the late light at this time of year. I realised I miss that. That smell of a late evening in June of dew on the grass and blossom scent. My routine these days is too rigid it seems to allow me to even contemplate spending half an hour in the garden at 9.30pm in June just to enjoy the twilight.

soappie - its a strange thing, but I always forget the longest day is in June. Maybe its just the weather up here, but I love July and August and I know the days arent as long but it feels like they are. In my head, September is when the length of days change :)

Will veg on the sofa instead ;) I need to pop down to Somerfields to check out if they have any wholemeal flour. Where does everyone buy theirs? My local Tesco doesnt stock anything as exotic

hippy - no viewers (again) last night, but I dont mind. Everything will work out just fine :A

Dusty - how is DS's sunburn today? DD was the same last weekend and spent most of Sunday in her bed feeling sorry for herself

Mudbath - was it you that had DD off sick? How is she?

pigpen - hope you are feeling better today luv xx

lil_me - hope you are feeling better too. The caravan sounds very exciting!!

    serena - what beautiful flowers

kazmeister and kazwookie - I can see me getting confused! I'll apologise in advance for mixing you up ;)

    Morning everyone,
    Happy birthday Justamum :bdaycake:
Lil_me the caravan sounds great, a friend of mine just got one and every weekend her and the family are away, would love one myself but think it will be next year.

Managed to get the boys room done last night and fix the tv in our room. Plan today is still to sort the kitchen floor, noone seems to know why it's wet.

    Right better make a start.....
Sometimes it seems that the going is just too rough.
And things go wrong no matter what I do.
Now and then it seems that life is just too much.
But you've got the love I need to see me through.

    Morning all

Firstly - Hugs to AnW's Mum and her little ones. Your in my thoughts today.

Got a few bits I want to get done today:-

    S & S kitchen - DONE
    S & S bathroom
    Hoover through
Ebay - do parcel and post
Littles room (not sure I have the strenght - maybe a few coffees first:o )
Pay for DD1 theatre visit - DONE
Pay for DD2 lunch club next Thurs - DONE
    Get girls ballet stuff ready
List old (well worn for 6 weeks) ballet uniforms on ebay
Make meal plan for next week (cheap, home-made and easy is the aim)
Put ironing away that I did last night (only 2 more loads to go:rolleyes: )
    HHI
Take girls swimming so get bag ready

Caught up with a few outstanding jobs yesterday.

Cleaned out the wheelie bin and got liners for it (it still stinks but will wash it again when next emptied).
Gaffa taped the felt back on the shed roof and patched it up a bit
    Mowed front lawn

Am thinking of driving to collect DD2 from nursery then driving to Huntingdon Garden Centre. I was some chippings for along the edge of the drive. There are a few big roundabouts and of course the carpark to do so figure it would be good practice. If I put the DVD on for DD2 it will keep her quiet too - will see if I can gee myself up to it. Think DH will regret me being mobile 'cos now I will just be able to get the stuff I want rather than waiting for my 1 weekend a month when I am off;) .

Better do this blooming ebay parcel.

Pigpen - maybe you could add that to a day's list for the next few weeks - take a half hour out on a summer's evening, in the gloaming, to just enjoy the aftermath of twilight and sunset...

But there - I've probably been far too philosophical so I hope you'll forgive me.

No.. not too philosophical.. just getting old.. lol.. :p:p:p

anyway.. I won't add it because if all your list is done you can do that every night and when you get to the point where it takes a quick S&S over every room and the whole house is done in 10 minutes because you are so decluttered and junk free you can spend all day there too!!

Make a note to do it yourself more often!! I love bats!

It could be your incentive for getting the necessaries done quicker?

I got up this morning.. (obviously cos I am here and the chimps are at school).. and my first though was OMG we are going to be late.. so around the rugged rock the ragged rascals ran readying themselves for running.. I scooped a bobble off the floor in the hallway and slipped it on my wrist... halfway to school I looked down and there is was.. a bright yellow bobble smiling at me.. my thoughts immediately turned to AnWnmummyndaddy and I felt a bit bad for being so stroppy this week.. So.. I'll have a spot of the old Quo, count my blessings and send vibes of strength to AnWnmummy and vibes of slapped leg to AnWs_daddy.. and sharpen my man prodding stick a bit more.. This 'ere stick will be as long as a pin by the time it gets used!!

Love and hugs to you all as always.. xxx
