Part of the Furniture 1,000 Posts Photogenic I've been Money Tipped!
I quit for this week....maybe :p 2 days spent catching up with different friends and I'm worn out - that will teach me to keep in touch with them both properly :o 1 I haven't spoken to since January and the other since March :o But I think we're just about caught up :rotfl::rotfl:

DD has just arranged with ex to go and stay at his this weekend :D BUT since he hasn't got a car and he's doing it on no-notice (he was only supposed to be coming for the day on Saturday) I've offered to take DD up on the train as long as he re-imburses me the return fare of £4ish ;) But it means I'm now free to catch up with my friends some more (or should that be a :beer: :rotfl:) or just have a break :D

Right, I'm off to watch Springwatch and put the washing out on the maiden

Dusty - noticed on your list you said you needed straw for the strawberry plants - we have got strawberry plants - do I need straw too??

I put straw under mine. It stops them rotting on wet soil, protects them a bit from slugs/woodlice and just protects them and makes them easier to pick. I also have to net mine or else the blackbirds scoff them.

DS3 in bed and OH dispatched to collect DS2, then DS1 from cricket. I have the joy of trying to get the whites clean tonight. Flying attempts today have been poor. Need to make our bed in a minute.

Serena glad your kids exams are going well. I did not do the English this afternoon as I did Yr10 science this morning.

Taurus have you heard back from the school yet about the spanish exam and how is your DD?

  • Life (well, youngest DS) conspiring against me here already!

Within 10 minutes of getting home from party he went updstairs with the party bag and ate the chocolate cake - dropping lovely brown crumbs over the newly hoovered carpet.

To my credit I did not go (too) ballistic but I gave him 5 minutes to go and get the dustbuster and clear up every scrap of mess. Which he did. :T

Am looking forward to an early night in a nice fresh bed tonight. Have am going to watch something on bbc iplayer and do HHI and hope to carry on in the good vein from now on.

Johanne – how’s about you spend the vouchers on nappies so every time your DD fills them it reiterates what you think of the ex colleague? I’m mean!

Funny you should say that.. that was mums suggestion :rotfl: :rotfl:

Not flown at all today... went with OH to get his new tatoo done (to make sure he only got babies name as he threatened to get mine too..) and then we went to town shopping... havent shopped for so long in years!!! Treated myself to some bargains:

1 cowl neck top with insert from MKone- was £10 now £3
1 hooded top with insert from MKone- was £8 now £4
1 metal circle necklace from MKone- was £3 now £1.50
1 tailored grey jacket from h&M - was £24.99 now only £7 (only cos they only had 8s and ONE size 10 left - which i snaffled up! :D )

    Total "savings" = £30.49 :D:D

I also bought a pair of sunglasses in H&M after trying on a similar pair in boots for a laugh.. then realising they actually suited me! but at £55 because they were FCUK they could FCUK off! :p :rotfl: So i knew id get similar in H&M and i was right for £50.01 less!

OOOOOOOOooooh BEST bargain of day though was 3 "mini mode" in boots items of clothing for little one....... should have been £13 for the three.. but we had a £10 giftcard from a family friend and then 2 the tops were on offer so i had to pay a total of 50p cash for £13 worth of stuff! :D:D Oh and then i got 40ps worth of advantage points back! So equivalent of 10p for the 3 items! :rotfl:
