:hello:welcome to lizzie dripping, miecherox! Happy Flying!
I have done the cloakroom and the bathroom to level 3, and also cooked dinner, washed up, done three loads of washing and put all the plants back in the greenhouse! So now I'm going to put my feet up and watch 'Heroes'!
My sister emailed to say that they'd had a wonderful holiday in the South of France, but on the last day she trod on a weaver fish, and it was absolutely agonising. She went to the doctor's in France, and happily he spoke quite good English, as my sister's French isn't great - actually, I think I'd have struggled myself. She's been to the doctor here as well on her return, and it is getting better. Such a shame, as she really needed that holiday, and it had been wonderful until then.It is never too late to become what you were always intended to be0 -

Hello again
I've just finished working coz my stupid laptop is so slow! I'm sooooo tired. It's been quite nice weather most of today, so I've got 3 machine loads washed and out on the line. I just needed to finish them off in the tumble dryer coz it started raining at dinner time.
I'm just watching the end of The Invisibles, then I'm off for a bubble bath and bed, but I'll get my yellow top out to wear tomorrow for you, AnW's mum.
Bonsibabe - Huge hugs to you. Have you also been in touch with SSAFA? Don't give in without a fight, although I know you don't need this at the moment with your health problem. Hang in there and check all options. Could he transfer to another Regiment for example? You know where I am, if you need a chat! x
SSL - I'm sorry you didn't get the job, but as you say, it's good experience. I'm dreading Thursday coz of doing the presentation, but I'll give it a go.

Evening all
Thank you for your kind thoughts. I'm shattered, mentally more than physically, so I'm off to bed  I'll have a proper catch up with everyone tomorrow
SSL xx
PS lizzie dripping - fantastic name!!! I loved those books
PPS AnWsMum - I'll be thinking about you tomorrow honey xx0 -
Serena - the cure in these 'ere parts for weaver fish stings is to put the affected area in water as hot as you can stand - seems it helps neutralise the poison. But hugs to your sister anyway...
AnW'sMum - my yellow top is ready to put on tomorrow - will be thinking of you hun xx
Dusty - it's so difficult trying to balance wildlife and domestic pets. You did all you could and I know you'll be on the look out again. And the wasp's nest - well! That IS an OH job
And bear with me now but I got all philosophical a while ago and am going to bore you all with it.
I don't know about you lot, but I get in from work, do some flying, do some pottering, do dinner, clean up after and spend some time plopped down in front of the TV or the computer. When I was washing up this evening (OK, tonight - about 9.30pm!) I realised it was still quite light. I went out into the garden and just sat there in the gloaming for 10 minutes or so. It was nice! Warm. Cloudless. And still. A couple of bats were flying about. The hint of some sort of promise (I don't know what of!) was in the air. I felt a sense of peace.
I realised we have just over two weeks until the longest day then it's all down hill after that - the nights will start drawing in again. I got to remembering my teenage years when I'd go down the pub after dinner (cooked by Mum!) and me and my friends would sit in the pub garden until closing time - drinking lager, gossiping and enjoying the late light at this time of year. I realised I miss that. That smell of a late evening in June of dew on the grass and blossom scent. My routine these days is too rigid it seems to allow me to even contemplate spending half an hour in the garden at 9.30pm in June just to enjoy the twilight.
Pigpen - maybe you could add that to a day's list for the next few weeks - take a half hour out on a summer's evening, in the gloaming, to just enjoy the aftermath of twilight and sunset...
But there - I've probably been far too philosophical so I hope you'll forgive me.
Hoping you all have a peaceful and good night's sleep.I am the leading lady in the movie of my life

Thanks for asking Dusty...haven't heard a thing! I emailed them yesterday to ask for an update and to warn them I would be contacting the governors as a next step. DD now taken her final AS module so much more relaxed. I have started her on a course of complex B vtamins (on drs advice) and she does seem calmer and more in control - so we will see how it goes. Hope your DS sunburn isn;t too painful!People Say that life's the thing - but I prefer reading

Oooo serena that sounds nasty, a big hug for your poor sis.
AnW'sMum the boys yellow and red caps are out ready for tomorrow and have a yellow pin badge on my jacket, will be thinking of you all.
Oh Dusty, it's not good when they get burnt, hopefully he will realise now we nag for a reason us Mam's. I've got my son the longer lasting one but he's been told to reapply and school seem to be helping as much as possible with that.
Vanilla Congratulations!!!
Happy Birthday little Mr Miecherox!
Well done Shell!
Johanne, any reduction in BF can result in a period, inc when weaning starts, but you should mention it just incase.
SSL sorry to hear you didn't get the job but sounds as if it might not have been right for you.
jjef, just be careful not to hang stuff near branches as they get poopered on! I started using airers outdoors when my DS1 was little as it was easier just hanging inside then popping it out and bring it in to empty than reaching for the very high washing line post csection surgery, something I have continued to do now just to increase drying space outside (and ideal for if the weather is iffy as it's easier to pull an airer in than unpeg everything if a downpour starts.
Been out shopping again, I think that's the what was the 'Florida Fund' now well and truely spent! Suppose I'll have to start all over again now :rotfl: Got some throw overs for the caravan £15 for 3 - Au Naturale are closing stores down if anyone needs anything! Dropping one off at Mam's over the weekend so she can cut it in half and do the edges for me for the smaller 2 seats. Spending just carried on from there inc 2 new bags for me (had to cut my stuff out of the last one as the zip went) new top for me and new plimsole things for me, trainers and school shoes for the boys (DS2s 6th pair this year!!), a ball and badmington set, LCD tv with built in DVD, in car DVD players with games built in, kitchen stuff inc pans, utensils, knives etc (so I can still cook from scratch) plastic tumblers, pictire for home, disposable BBQs incase we're blessed with nice weather, eerm, there was more but I can't remember what. It's weird spending so much as I have been saving for ages, have more to spend tomorrow as we still need a few bits for the caravan (but we ran out of room in the back of the Zafira on the first run, so yes, bought a LOT! Awnings now in so need to collect that, will hopefully finish the rest when we're up there.
Shopping aside (it's all I seem to have done lately) I've booked myself in the hairdressers, I took the boys swimming this evening and when I come back DP had tidied the sitting room, cleaned it and vacuumed the stairs (YAY - I HATE THAT JOB!), goodness knows what got into him! I think he's realised I'm unwell (stomach issue playing up aswell as being full of cold) and that with all the shopping things have been slacking, but not moaningwell ok DS2 might as he's binned some of his 'models' (bits of paper, card and material stuck together, most kids coe home with one but mine brings a sack full!)
Been hot all day here so have managed to dry some stuff on the line, some on the airers outside aswell. Tomorrow will be working on housework in morning (rest of the place is a bombsite) going to collect hopefully the last of the caravan essentials on the afternoon then take it all to the storage site so we don't need to keep it here!! Oh and so we can test the gas. Then it'll be more housework on the evening and do some sort of meal plan.
((Hugs)) all round, see you all at some point tomorrow. (PS anyone heard from Tia, she seems to be MIA)One day I might be more organised...........
