soappie - with you on the evening gloam we also were outside lst night about 10.30 and it was still light warm and full of birds tweeting think it might be something that we do more rather than sitting infront of the box watching rubbish.
today I am hoping to clear/empty more boxes i am needing such a clear out a definet hoarder here but it has to stop as i dont have room any more, a lot of it seems to be bits and bobs that i have from when i had to go through my mums things and there are a lot of things which remind me of her but i cant keep them all so need to toughen up and just keep those that mean the most.
Also does anyone hang on to their kids school work I seem to have kept just about everything they have done at school and want to get rid of some but not all so was wondering how much others kept?
thats the washing machine just finished so going to hang out a load on the airers (i am using the bath rail as well seeing as the bathroom is out of action and the towels can hang on door frames) lil_me thanks for the heads up re trees and birds hadnt thought of that and the garden is full of over grown large trees  but it does have a stream at the bottom which is lovely and relaxing just listening to the water flowing.0 -

'Open House' I was sure I had read all of them, but I found this one on Monday. I've enjoyed all her books. I also like Minette Walters, Val McDiarmid, Ellis Peters, Sharon Penman, Ian Rankin, Quentin Jardine, Ian McCall Smith, quite a mixture0 -

Morning folks,
I might have to go and buy a new microwave, the current one is making a funny noise, nothing is stick, and the glass turntable is round round, but a bit juddery, so cleaning underneath the glass I noticed that the plastic wheel thing, is taking the paint (or whatever it is) off the base of the microwave, exposing what looks like metal to me.

I'm impressed with my mate - I thought they were drunk last night so wouldn't remember the arrangements they made with me (I was just agreeing thinking "yeah right! Like thats going to happen!" ). Text this morning from them saying "you owe me a beer - I remember and you're still coming with" :rotfl::rotfl: So thats me busy all weekend then!!
Just off to hoover right through once I've emptied the hoover. Then I best sling some bits in a bag for me since I've got to get DD to Wigan tonight and won't have time after school :wave:Creeping back in for accountability after falling off the wagon in 2016.Need to get back to old style in modern ways, watching the pennies and getting stuff done!0 -
Had decided that today I was going to get a pile of unfinished jobs done. Getting fed up with reaching end of day and realising how much of it I had wasted.
Well got a parcel collected first thing, done on-line banking (must get more bits organised that way) up to date with shredding.
BUT phoned a firm I have been trying to arrange a visit from for months and got told person I needed to speak to was on the phone and would call me back when she was free.
THAT WAS OVER AN HOUR AGO :mad::mad::mad:
I have other calls to make and need to go out at some point and I'm stuck here because I really need them to sort themselves out.0 -
I just checked my on-line banking and my Tax Credits have gone up
:D:D If its right then I'm £7 a week better off :j I really can't wait to have a "normal" financial month. I was hoping it would be this one. Off to hoover

Afternoon all
Thinking of you AnW'sMum
Happy birthday justamum
Lovely day here, washing already dried and put away.
Vacuumed right through downstairs.
Had a nasty smell in the cupboard under the stairs, didn't smell yesterday. Got everything out and eventually narrowed it down to the vacuum. I changed the bag yesterday and I put a new filter in this morning, but it still smelt. It's the hose and pipes! Makes your eyes water, it's like ammonia! All I can think is I've vacuumed over a bit of carpet where the dog has had an accident without noticing and it's clung to the bits of fluff etc. We normally notice where she's been (she's 13 and getting unreliable) and disinfect and blot it up with paper but maybe we didn't blot well enough. I've washed everything through as best I can, you should have seen what came out, and they're draped over the washing line now. Hopefully the sun and wind will finish off the job.
Don't we have fun?0 -
Tescos came 40 minutes early so i was still cleaning the dirty hall and kitchen, they delivered without bags when it should be with bags and brought 5 of something that was on BOGOF
. I hate home delivery shopping - mostly because I hate being out of control.
Upstairs has been level 1'd plus I washed the mould off all of the upstairs windows. Half of the back of the house has been covered in modern cement render and the house is built from solid limestone so it can't breathe This means that we have an awful mould problem until we get round to hacking it all off and re-doing with lime mortar.
All the bedding is in the TD - the washing line is full. Just need to hoover downstairs then I can make a start on the weeding again.
I have rung to get Tom Tom to collect the faulty sat nav, which I will have to drop off at the post office on monday so I will finally get that book posted for you Taurus.
Just looking at school uniform on M&S and I see that they have some girls black school shoes reduced to £5 and £6 if that is any use to anyone.'If you have a garden and a library, you have everything you need' Marcus Tullius Cicero0
