Had decided that today I was going to get a pile of unfinished jobs done. Getting fed up with reaching end of day and realising how much of it I had wasted.
Well got a parcel collected first thing, done on-line banking (must get more bits organised that way) up to date with shredding.
BUT phoned a firm I have been trying to arrange a visit from for months and got told person I needed to speak to was on the phone and would call me back when she was free.
THAT WAS OVER AN HOUR AGO :mad::mad::mad:
I have other calls to make and need to go out at some point and I'm stuck here because I really need them to sort themselves out.
    It gets worse:eek:
Phoned them again - she's gone for lunch
However switchboard woman took my Ref.no and then said 'Oh, but that job has been cancelled - you didn't want the survey done':mad::mad:
They had taken phone number down wrong and then cancelled job when they couldn't contact me.
Hopefully will now be sorted out (had to keep apologising to her as it wasn't her fault)

Got a letter from the quack saying DS2 is anaemic.. but not got the bloods back re the diabetes yet.. good job he went to have them done at the hospital.. I wonder how their blood count will tally up with the one done at the quacks.. They want him to have it redone in 4 weeks time as well.. which will be 3 weeks now.. I think I'll leave it in the far more capable hands of the consultant..

    Morning lovelies

taurus - what book are you reading that kept you away from flying? lol ;)

It was Harlen Coban's "The Woods"...it was excellent....Am now resisting sitting down to start the first in the series of "Ladies of Letters" ;)

Have been a VERY good girl today though - before leaving for work I:-
    • Vacuumed everywhere that has a carpet
    • swept all hard floors
    • dusted downstairs
    • cleaned bathroom and toilet
    • cleaned the venetian blinds in the living room AND THE WINDOWS ( I have two windows in the living room , one is floor to ceiling and measures 14 feet wide and the other is the same width but only half height ) :T
    • Cooked breakfast and did 2 x packed lunches
    • 1 load of washing in.
Since I returned home I have:
    • Eaten lunch with DD2 while we watched an episode of "Ever Decreasing Circles"
    • cleaned kitchen window
    • cuddled the cat who was being bullied by a mummy blackbird
Am now off to organise dinner and do some filing ...

I will not open my new book....I will not open my new book.........I will not open my new book.........I will not open my new book.........I will not open my new book......................................:o:D

Hi Taurus - I've noted the name of that book, just in case I run out of something to read!

For my sister's birthday I've just bought the latest Jodi Picoult, and also The Forgotten Garden by Kate Morton - she wrote The House at Riverton, which was one of the Richard and Judy Book Group books last year, and which I enjoyed. I may just have to go back to Asda though, as I also spotted a new Katie Fforde, and I really need that...;)

Hi Serena - Try "Tell No One" also by Harlen Coban...and also awesome! "The House at Riverton" was one of the books I've just bought from the charity shop, no doubt I shall have to buy her 2nd book if I end up enjoying the first.

As for you "needing" the Katie fforde - of course you need it! indeed yoou MUST have it - away with you and fetch it now!:rotfl:
