Ater a few days of virtually no flying I thought I should make a bit of an effort. I have two sons home today so I am hoping to get a lot done. We have an 18th b'day dinner tonight and then a party on Saturday for DS3 who will be 18 then.
I am trying to sort out the living room to make enough room for him and all his friends. They will have the kitchen and hall too. I have decided to lock up the den because last time they had a party, there was a drunk 15 year old, hidden in there among all the boxes and clutter.

    Hi Lizzydripping welcome
hugs for bonsibabe and johanne and anyone else I missed. Well done Shell!!
I will try to pop back later but things are getting a bit hectic around here. I am also still checking out wedding venues with DD but she isn't feeling too good at the moment, not sure if it is hayfever or a cold but she has a horrible sore throat. Tonight we are killing two birds with one stone. We are celebrating DSs b'day and checking ot the local hotel as they have new owners.

    To Do Today,
    Write shopping list for party
Make sure I have coupons sorted
Photo some more things for e bay

Thanks to all for the lovely hugs and words of encouragement:beer: . Yes if the worst comes to the worst we will be coming back to scotland.

And at the moment things are not looking good for us. I am disabled and the regiment are now using that as a reason for applying for DH's discharge:mad: . Apparently he uses me as an excuse not to go to work. Funny that it is only since we moved here that I have had problems and in the previous 6 years the only time off he has had, was when our kids were born!

Am really angry about the way he has been treated and we are fighting this but it looks like its going to be an uphill struggle. Think I had just better start packing up our house and looking to see what is available on the council list for my home town:eek: .
    LBM - August 2008 - Debts then - £33390 - 2nd LBM - November 2009 - Debts then - £18500:mad:

And things go wrong no matter what I do.
Now and then it seems that life is just too much.

  • Thrilling Thursday - Bedroom of Duvet-nia & Landing of Loveliness
    Level One
Open the window and air the room - done
Strip off smelly bedding and sling it in the wash - two done and one set in wash, DS will do his own when back from school.
    Level Two
Vacuum the mattress and air the duvet (I dangle mine over the washing line if it's nice) I actually did this!
remake bed with the clean bedding - done (except eldest DS again)
Put the floordrobe in the wardrobe - yep, have done that as well!
Find 10 things to get rid of! done
    Level Three
Vacuum the landing and bedroom.. starting at the bottom of the stairs!!!! - done - even pulled out the beds and hooved behind.
Remove anything that should be elsewhere.. your bedroom is NOT a shed!! done - unfortunately it is now in the kitchen, how long it stays there remains to be seen but at least bedroom door will now shut!
Remove some dust bunnies and wipe over the light shades - done except light shades.
    Extras

    1. Wash any curtains that need doing - none
    2. HHI - will do this later tonight
    3. 15 minutes sort out of the landing gibble.. see if you can find something to rehome! landing is clear!
    4. Clean the windows - left this, have builders in at the moment and no point.
That has taken me just under 2 hours, and I have stopped along the way to answer phone etc. If I had started at 9 o'clock then I would have been finished by lunchtime and had afternoon free to do something nice.

I think this has shown me that I should just get on with doing things and not put things off because something else needs to be done first.

Rest of house looks reasonable tidy as I cleaned bathrooms and kitchen earlier in week. Lounge and hallway need a really good dust and hoover though. As I am out for most of tomorrow and Saturday I think I will just give these a quick tidy and hoover and tackle them properly next week. Does that sound like procrastinating again?

Going to have some lunch now, then pick up youngest from school and take to birthday party. Cook dinner when home and do ironing before DS bath and bed.

Will pop on again tomorrow - I think I could become a flylady convert!

    I am so tired!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I may go throw myself on the sofa for half an hour while tiddles watches some drivel on the computer.. that's a plan.. but it'll have to wait until I get back from school.. I need to leave in 5 minutes to get to the post office (I just looked at theclock).. so I'll have a cuppa instead.. the caffeine might help for 10 minutes!

If you would like her for the weekend anyone Aunt Flo should be leaving here tomorrow;) .

Bonsi - That is so horrible of them, may their bits shrivel up and fall off:eek: . Hope you can get something sorted out (((hugs))).

Sorry and I will shut up about this eventually (well maybe), I have just been for my first solo drive. I took a years worth of recycling to the bottle bank (glad no-one was there or they would have thought I had a drink problem:o ), then went to the co-op that is on the edge of town. Had a bit of a panic as the big carpark I was gonna park in is closed so had to use the diddy one that twists and turns. My parking in the bay was at a bit of an angle but hey the whole of the car was within my white lines:rotfl: . I even parked perfectly on our drive - which is a bit of a pain.

Flying, thats what I am here for

    I have:-

    Cleaned bathroom
Washed out WM as was stinking (90 degree with soda crystals)
    Tidied lounge
    Hoovered through
Fix lawnmower & mowed front lawn
Played driving to the beach with DD2:rolleyes:
DD2 fed and taken to nursery
    Been shopping (I DROVE YOU KNOW:p )
    Wiped kitchen down
    1 load of washing

    Need to:-

Put chicken in oven and prep salad stuff
Mop kitchen, bathroom and porch floors
10 min fling in littles room
    Bag to charity shop
    Fill application form in

Best get on will do HHC as need to leave for pickup at 2.45:D

LIZZIE - way to go!! It does get easier once you get into the flow of it but sounds like your a natural.
