    Morning all

Hugs to all who need one especially Loupyloo, PenPin, Smokey, Candygirl and anyone else. Appologies if I've misssed anyone have just skimmed thread.

Ended up taking OH out to Harvester for dinner last night as realised he won't be coming out with us for Father's day as he's working. Was very good and stuck to my diet (WW, as I already have all the books), just used 5 points on wine and a taste of DS pudding :D .

Have been to Asda this morning. Not many bargains but did get some reduced braising steak which is in the freezer and I will stew later in the week.

Grey and drizzling here. Taking DS swimming in a bit. Roast pork for tea and rice pud. Off to make some lunch.

    Have a good day all.

Just popped in to say "good luck" to Shez and weeping river and anyone else doing the the Race for Life.

(((hugs))) to Smoky, Pen-Pin, Jayward, Candygirl's DDad, loopylou, Rage in Eden, Betheebee and anyone else I have missed unintentionally.

tru Housewife is a term that doesn't do justice to the amount of work involved in running a home. My boss met a client recently who insisted that he put her occupation as "domestic engineer". :D A bit posher than housewife, I suppose. As for your identity, maybe you could think about taking up a hobby that you are interested in and make that "your thing".

Been to mass but felt rubbish by the end of it so I am doing absolutely nothing else today. The man behind me must have had a skinful last night as I could smell the alcohol on his breath even though my nose is bunged up.

Went to Morrisons before mass so I don't have to go out again :j especially as it is now raining.

Time for more tea, methinks. xx

    Afternoon all

Woke up with a stinking headache........think I spent too long in the sun yesterday helping OH sort out his 'veg in pots' part of the garden.
Cloudy today so I might go out later on - need to take some cuttings off a plant that originally came from my grans and is looking a bit 'sad'......don't want to lose it.

Have a good day whatever you do and hugs ((((((((((:o )))))))) to those who need them

    Hi Everyone

Sorry to say I have been out of the loop for a couple of days. Been very busy and Friday I was so tired when I got home from work I felt ill. Yesterday completed the planting in my front garden. Also brought my laurel bush back under control.

Aussie - OH is in Oz with 2 pals and staying with a 4th in Cairns. He will be there until 30th June birdwatching. All over Cairns area plus Northern Territories.

Have been wrestling with an IT problem most of the day so far and I think (fingers crossed) I have found out what I was doing wrong.

Raining here today after the scorching day we had yesterday.

Thinking about you all and love and hugs too, especially those going through a hard time.

    Afternoon :hello:

Hugs to those who need them ((hugs))

Congratulations Weeping River! :j :j I hope Shez has done OK as well!

It's just hit me quite how busy I am between now and next weekend. I think the only answer is to plan everything out carefully in an attempt to run my life like a finely-oiled machine. In fact, make that a 2-week plan, as I am out pretty much all of next weekend so if there's anything needs doing for the following week I need to fit that in somehow as well!

Work is mental. Evenings are mental. Weekends are mental...

Just to add to the things that need to be fitted in, I broke a filling this morning and now have a sharp edge on one of my molars, so that's one more thing to be sorted out  The added complication is that although I am still with an NHS dentist, it's not that near where I live (it was near where I lived when I registered, but I have moved house twice since then). So travelling time has to be added into the equation as well...

Anyway, if you don't see a great deal of me for the next couple of weeks, I'm not ignoring you!

Love Rzl xx  (currently trying to write two opera reviews, cook a batch of macaroni cheese, take the recycling out, etc etc etc, all before heading out to a concert for the evening :D)

    I'M HERE!!! I'M BACK - I'VE FINISHED!!!:j :j :j (thank god!)

Finish Time was 32 mins!!! Got my medal!

Had a great time, the wings lasted out the whole run! Diana Moran (Green Goddess) and Gloria Hunniford started our run! Started in front of St.Pauls (bells chiming at 11am), past Guildhall, (various boring city blds!), Museum of London and finished in front of Barts Hospital!

I think my face has finally toned down from Beetroot Red!:rotfl: Thank goodness I don't do running for a living I kept thinking to myself -and I don't know how they manage to do the Marathon!!:rotfl::eek:

DH & the kids made a HUGE banner saying "Hello Mum" with a photo of me as a little girl on it!!:o :rotfl:

The little goodie bags afterwards are great, they have some lovely little bags of Nivea (cream, face wash, tanning cream etc), lipstick, eyeliner - worth doing the run for them alone!:D ( I got 2 bags and they had different things in them;) )

Then took kids to McDonalds after, where I woofed down a Deli Sandwich and a cuppa!:p

Total raised by our Ciy of London Event should be £1 million, and they reckon a total of around £66 million from all the races across the country.

:T Big thankyou to everyone for their support!!!:T :A
Well done Weeping River - great time!!:T

ps: forgot to mention - a lady sat next to me on the train and asked about the run and then before she got off, gave me £2 as a donation! What a lovely thing to do!
