:hello: Hello!
We got back from the broads yesterday after a lovely week, yes it did rain but the cottage was cosy and quiet, on the few dry sunny days we sat outside and watched the world (on boats) go by while we sat drinking through the supply of red wine we had thought to take along. Puppy had lots of walks which she loved although she had great problems with us throwing perfectly good bread into the river to feed the ducks and on one occasion tried to jump in and join them much to the hissing constenation of the swans!:rotfl: We even took out a day hire boat to test the puppy out, she loved it so next time we will hire a cabin cruiser like we used to do.
Penny pincher - (((hugs))) so glad you are back home now and recovering, there is no place like home.
Aussie lass -relieved to find no strange photos of Mr Catz and I:D very glad to hear that your sister has a date for her op, although it is a big and scary op for her it should give her a better quality of life. ((hugs)))

Dry here, but cloudy, so depending on the weather, we will have a couple of hours at the allotment.
Going to put a piece of beef in the slow cooker for dinner, I stood it on some potatoes last time, and it was lovely, not too 'wet' IFKWIM
Have a good day everyone xYou're only young once, but you can be immature forever

Haribo - your house and garden sounds so lovely, I have seen pictures of your kitchen - perhaps one day you could post pics of your garden?
Have a really non OS day here today, will go and shower in a min then do an hour of ironing, at 11.30 am heading down to Southend to meet friends for lunch at the Casino. As long as they havnt changed the menu I will be having proper Salt Beef - lovely. OH is in charge of dinner here and think they are having spag bol.
Will really enjoy lunch as wont be able to meet these friends for a while as they live quite far away and normally meet up weekday evenings but OH starts back on nights tomorrow so will put paid to that.
Anyway hope you all have lovely days.

Morning everyone,
Thanks for your kind comments yesterday, I feel abit better today. Got the scan tomorrow, I think then it will really sink in. But it could've been so much worse so
We'll be okay, if anything it made us realise as a couple, how much we want this so we're not going to give up.
gonna have a potter about the garden AGAIN, DH wants to go to a garden centre.... I always want to spend money at those places tho!!
Good luck to all of you doing the Race for Life!!
Have a good day all xx0 -
Good Morning Everyone - just started raining here. I had intended to walk to church...how strong is my willpower???
Catznine - we were in Roys town (like it!) on Wednesday. Kept looking at people everywhere we went and wondering!! Mini-meet sounds good to me.
Have already walked dogs and done ironing. Will pop back later to catch up. ((HUGS)) to all who need one.Resolution:

I think I've made it sound alot better than it is.
The garden at the side is really quite small with a corner for veg, some raised flower beds and now a flippin enormous trampoline. The decking is at the back of the house and the view to the sea (which isn't actually uninterrupted) is only from the side of the deck where I have my chair.
I would like to chop down some of my neighbours trees to be able to see the whole bay.And the downside of having a raised deck at the back is that it is built into the cliff and the underneath of it is like a dungeon and a dumping ground for rubbish and a hiding place for spiders.
So it isn't grand at all, I promise.
Enjoy your lunch by the way.
Glad you're feeling a bit better today Loopy. Be kind to yourself. xx
Have just ahd a row with the girls who unbeknownst to me must have had a fashoin parade yesterday and have pulled all their (freshly ironed) clothes onto their wardrobe floors. They have ben threatened with no birthday party if they don't start keeping their rooms in some sort of order soon. (insert eveil mummy smile here)0 -

pen pin hope you feel better soon xx
Candy, Mrs mix, smoky, hugs xx
Where is martyn
,
Well looks like its been raining overnight, but stopped now, so will try and get in the garden for a bot of 'pottering'. I need to go to MR t and pick something up for lunch, I went to get pork chops out of the freezer last night, only to find we had already eaten them, meal plan had gone to pot this week, so I might get a chicken and do a roast.
Went and sorted out all the camera equipment OH got given yesterday got it down from 7 tea chests to 5, and we might make some money out of them :T .
DD is still in bed, will have to get her up soon, as it will have to be an early night tonight ready for school, she has tests all week ready for her options next year.
Forgot to say yesteday, while we were out walking through the woods, we came across a field full of wild orchids, it was absolutly beautiful, well of the beaten track and obviously left to its own devices. It was such a sight, will be going there again.
Loopylou, hugs to you xx
have good days all xx0 -
Loopy

Good luck to the Race For Life-rs

Master tru and his mate staggered in at 8am this morning
Not sure who I am...........I was pregnant at 18 and again at 19, all my adult life I've been seen as someone's mum, someone's wife, someone's something. Kids have left school and are working. I'm still a mum (obviously lol) but not really doing 'mum' things with the kids anymore. Me and mr tru can take off for a few hours whenever we feel like it (work permitting), without worrying about 'what about the kid's tea' etc.
I never planned to be seen as 'someone's something' but people like to label other people, don't they? Trouble is, you get used to it then all of a sudden you seem to have no identity of your own.Bulletproof0 -
:hello: :hello: :hello: :hello: :hello: :hello: Hi everyone
Tru -- I am a mother of 3 . I know what you mean but I am sure other people see you differently. Read " I will wear purple"
Mioliere - Our DS gets married next May and Mr Chalky and I have 90 favours and the invitations to make so will think of you as you are busy with yours.
Shez
Weeping River - Good Luck with the Race for Life :T :T
Aussie- always love your pictures.
Trying very hard not to be sad/angry atm. DD2 made a cheap comment to Ds about his forthcoming wedding which was soooooooooooooooo totally uncalled for .I think she suffers from the green eyed monster because her love life is rocky at the mo. I just wish it had not happened as I know he must have been very hurt and I was embarressed as his fiancee was there. Mr Chalky and I have not said anything but it just hurts when your grown up kids cant be good to one another.
Had friends around last night made Jamie Olivers meatballs and they were delish.
Some mixture left for beefburgers today.
OS --- Still shocked by the rise in prices since our return. Sadly because we haven't been here something horrible had got into the rice ( of all things) and then contaminated everything else in the dry cupboard and I had to throw everything away-- it made my skin crawl !!!!!
Congratulations to all those celebrating and gentle thoughts to all those feeling sad, alone or just sad.Try and do a good deed every day.0
