Unless you want a pic of my trackie bottoms and a t-shirt?! No! I didn't have any wings, I'm afraid. Not many people at my Race for Life did.

Hi
Has anyone of you wonderful people got any ideas about how to get some peacock feathers apart from the obvious ebay route. Trying really hard to help DS1 and fiancee.
P.S I have emailed our local zoo !!Try and do a good deed every day.0 -
Hi all - just a quick post from me because I'm all behind today. I had just got back from shopping and not even started putting the stuff away when a friend called in, plus my DDS2 and his friend, and then DH came home for lunch (because he had left his sandwiches behind, of course!) so I ended up making sardines on toast for what seemed like the whole street and trying to put the shopping away at the same time. They've all just gone and I've finished packing things away and clearing up the lunch things. I'm sat here with a cuppa before I tackle some phone calls that must be made today.
I have skimmed through the thread but nothing has sunk in so I'm sending collective thoughts and (((hugs))) to everyone.
Oh, and I've only just heard about the earthquake in Iceland - DS1 and his family have been there all week; I have just texted him and they are at the airport waiting for their flight home. Thank heavens they are safe. Things always happen around DS1 - he worked in Zimbabwe and left the day before Mugabe's thugs started up their violent land-grabbing and all sorts of other things have happened from which he seems to have escaped by the skin of his teeth. I shall be glad when they are all safely back at home. I've just been round to put milk in the fridge and check his garden - I didn't need to water it once because of all the heavy rain we've had this week!
Anyway, I'd better go and get these phone calls made - I'll catch up with you all later.
