Hello everybody :hello: and to everyone having a bad time :grouphug:

Well overcast but warm here too. Rained like heck in the night so that's another few of my Reine Victoria roses I can wave goodbye to  (they don't like the rain and go all mottled). Mr Rage is going to be off next week - so that means I don't have to buy a bus pass :j . Also in the office on my own again today which is sheer bliss.... got loads done yesterday as well. Mr Rage today is taking some parcels to the post (presents for Nephews (Clothes from Asda because I am fed up of them being kitted out in GAP that they wear once and then have grown out of) /Birthday present for his Dad (Blue tank top if anyone's interested - reduced in BHS!)/ avon returns. Also hopefully he will collect my jigsaw off e-bay. Apart from that not much to say. Bought some undies last night as the BHS in the Trafford Centre is being refurb'd so there's a good sale on in certain areas so all reduced undies. However, saw the sandals I bought in Manchester BHS for £15 for £18  Took great delight in pointing this out to Mr Rage!! Also went into M&S as they've opened a new store and got charged £5.60 for something that was £7 - result :D . You'll all laugh at the way I have transported my toast to work today - blood bag!! If patients don't have bloods or don't attend then the little plastic bag that your blood samples are put in just has the patient ID ripped off and is thrown. I'm so fed up of chucking them when they haven't been opened at all that I took the ones I had home last night and have used it to being my toast in this morning. Make do and mend! Mr Rage thought it was a superb idea :A Right I'm off to eat my toast and fruit.
But I'm going to say this once, and once only, Gene. Stay out of Camberwick Green :D

    Good Morning All

N9eav - hope you get your four days off, sounds like you need it.
Hester - love New Look, enjoy your skirt
Catowen - have a great day with your kids
Ronanfan - would love to see that concert
Huge (((hugs))) to anyone who needs one, especially Candygirl, Betheebee, Smokey and PP

Have had a lie in today which I didnt need so feeling a bit muggy at the mo, will jump in the shower in a min to wake up and will make a start on my large amount of paperwork.

Had a good time in London, the match was great apart from the weather and DD's hospital appointment went well - she was very brave. So glad we stayed over otherwise it would have been a complete nightmare getting home and getting to the hospital appointment because of the problems at Liverpool Street. We had seats really close to the pitch and saw David Beckham and Jo Cole close up - very nice.

Back to normality today, will be in the office all morning then ironing in the afternoon. OH is doing the housework and taking the kids out for an hour or so later. No idea what is for dinner tonight, one of my jobs today is to do the menu plan.

    Have a great day all.

    morning all,

N9eav am I right in thinking you are a police officer? It's a bit worrying that things have become so bad that overtime is now part of the normal working day for the police. The money will come in handy but when it knocks the work/life balance out of kilter, that can't be good.
mrs moneypenny and celyn hope each of your days goes smoothly.
betheebee (((hugs))) to you and your DBro. Hope the road to the hospital is clear by the time you need to set off. Good luck for today.
    (((hugs))) to all in need.

W**k today but I don't intend to work any overtime as I want to get back home and start tidying up. My DSis and her husband are visiting next weekend and I want to get as organised as I can this weekend.

Need to take some chicken out of the freezer for dinner. Lunch is chicken salad on wholemeal roll. Hopefully it will stay dry and I can get the WM on and the load hung outside.

Not much else to say so have a fabulous Friday. xx

Mr tru popped into Tesco to get baked beans, crisps, butter and one other thing that I can't remember :o I was angry enough that he actually spent money in Tesco (I hate that place) but he ended up spending just over £70

I'm beginning to wonder if it would actually work out cheaper to pass my test and buy a car just for me so I can shop on my own

    I am sooooooo mad

Good Morning Chums ,hope all is well .<<hugs to those in need>> and a big sloppy:D to the rest of you.
Well another Friday and where is the time flying to. Almost June and still no summer, yet alone spring. Its been so wet this week I think I shall be growing flippers soon .
My cousin in Adelaide writes and tells me how short of water they are there.well they're more than welcome to some of mine.North Kent seems to get greener by the day.
I even had to put my central heating on yesterday it was so chilly and damp.
Still enough whinging about what we can't change .I am feeling full of beans today because my big brother Davy is coming home this Sunday for a few days from France and I haven't seen him for nearly two years .:j He will be staying with me for about four days and I'm looking forward to spoiling him.
I am still going to r/therapy and this morning they are going to re-do my mesurements to try and get them right .I have worked it out that I shall be finished with the treatment on the day before I go to Norfolk at the end of June .Hopefully the sun might come out for a little while by then. (I think I'm obsessing about the weather at the moment )
I have been very OS this week and hardly spent a tanner at all as I am working my way through my freezer and cupboards.I can't believe how much food I still have left.I think I must have been buying stuff automatically for the past few months .
Still it means I can have a bit more "Happy Cash " for my holiday. One of my grandsons is coming to stay overnight tonight as his sister came last Friday night and she has been 'crowing about it all the week' So I shall have to think of a treat for him, I may let him choose a gory movie from Blockbusters later on.because of going daily to the hospital I have missed seeing the boys this week and they all were queing up to talk to me on the phone last night. Its the smallest DGS birthday this Sunday and the next one ups one on Tuesday so we are having a joint tea party for them both on Sunday afternoon. Lots of cakes and jelly and stuff.I shall be co-opted to make the parcels for 'Pass the Parcel' I expect .We like lots of party games involving ballons and noise in their house:eek:
Well time I got a wriggle on. Have a great week-end what ever you are doing, and take care all of you
    Cheers JackieO xx

    Morning all

At last it's stopped raining :j . Bit grey though, do we go to the beach or not? Really should nip into the allotment and check everything is ok, think I will do that after OH gets home from work. Some friends of mine are going camping at a folk festival with small children today, hope they don't get soaked. Was also going to go but really felt I couldn't afford the deisal to get there and all the other expenses, like buying a stove. Last time I camped, I cooked everything on a fire.

BETH good luck to you and your DB.

N9EAV and anyone else who is working so hard in these difficult times, hugs to you.

PENPIN hope it gets better soon. Hugs to CANDYGIRL, MRS MIX, SMOKEY and anyone elser who wants one.

Lunch will be a picnic today, if it doesn't rain. Turkey curry in the SC for tea. Will also cook a veggie curry too. Really must tidy up and do some ironing but feel really de-motivated at the moment.

    Have a good day all.

Last night i had a terrible headache and decided to have fish & chips as i really didnt feel up to cooking. I asked DS (6) if he wanted fish & chips, he said no not really, so asked what he wanted.
His reply was to go and start looking in the frezzer telling what we could eat as he didnt want to waste our money when we could cook something :A - i think ive trained him too well!!
So in the end we had a HM pizza he found at the bottom of the frezzer with some leftover potato salad.

He saved us £5 which has gone in the jar for ice creams on holiday.
