She won't be happy with that post!

Bit of an authority complex with SFG, it has to be what she wants only on this thread.

:rotfl: Its actually quite laughable, It reminds me of this girl at school, she would run round causing trouble, making out she was an angel who could do no wrong, each week she would pick a new "victim" and would go round whispering about that person trying to turn others against them. One day everyone wised up to the fact that she twisted absolutley everything and it got to the point where everything she said was taken with a HUGE pinch of salt.

I am sure that the airline she allegedly works for has an impeccable sheet with NO customer complaints whatsoever... :rotfl:

I think a few of the replies on this thread could be from mymoviestream employees.

I have had a nightmare with this company and have been in contact with trading standards about them.

Trading Standards are well aware of them it would seem.

They have also recently changed their site to OutNow perhaps because of the bad name MyMovieStream has gotten.

I had a trial, discs they reckoned they had sent did not arrive. So I filled in the lost disc forms etc. Also experienced the inability to login to my account and difficulties in cancelling the trial (which I did on the basis that they did not manage to send me any discs!). They were very rude to me too.

Now, about 6 months later they have just debited my credit card for a large amount as they claim I never returned the forms!

Unreal. If it comes to it I'll be taking them to court via moneyclaim.

MrDinkle at least you know you are not the only one. Rebranding shows them up even more as an awful company, many won't know they've rebranded though I guess.

I am waiting to see whether they charge my account next week for a second time without my permission.

They have not responded to my Recorded Delivery letter send mid June, nor e-mailed confirming receipt of my completed 'Lost DVD' form.

I think the Royal Mail could do with looking into them as most complaints are from members whose dvd's have gone 'missing' as soon as they clear their list (ie when MMS can see that the person doesn't intend to populate the list with the minimum 15 titles).

I agree regarding Royal Mail - how many forms must this company be filing to claim compo from them?!

The sheer number of people that have had discs apparently go missing and forms not arrive is laughable.

I think it would not be possible for Royal mail to be so incompetent just for the recipients and mail of a single company.

... and then they call themselves something else, probably with a different selection of addresses, this will probably confuse both members and Royal Mail too.

    Hi Mr Dinkle.

Sorry to hear about your awful experience with MMS or whatever they choose to call themselves. I can think of many suggestions for names! As Eagerlearner says, dreadful companies generally do this when their proper name is badly associated.

Luckily they couldn't debit my card as I had unfortunately had it stolen, and cancelled it. I agree that you should definitely pursue the matter via court if necessary. Many people on here have simply given up and paid; which is ABSOLUTELY not the solution!

The MD has had 2 county court judgments issued against him THIS YEAR! What does that tell you?!

Royal Mail are bad, but if they genuinely lose that many DVDs i will literally EAT my HAT!

Mr Dinkle, I would write to MMS, give them 7 days only to respond. Ensure you put on your letter that you are giving them 7 days to reply. Address the letter to David Watson MD, and send recorded delivery. Ask them to refund you, and confirm that the account is closed. Luckily, I did this and had a confirmation that my a/c was fully closed (in writing, filed away for future reference, just in case!).

There are zillions of complaints about these bandits on google.

    Good luck to you!

I complained to Advertising Standards Agency as MMS refused to give me the free cinema tickets from the free trial. ASA say they have only had one other complaint, so I urge people to complain to the ASA if they have not got what they promised from the free trial. After ASA chased them, they gave me the tickets and a free DVD.

I agree that some of the logic here by some posters - i.e. if you take a free trial you should expect to get nothing in return - sounds exactly like MMS employees - one said almost the same to me (just before slamming the phone down on me!) It's a curious attitude - as if someone is forcing the company to offer free trials. If they don't want to offer free stuff, they don't have to; but once they have said they will do something, they are ethically (and often legally) bound to honour it.

    Quite true Marty.

Good for you complaining to the relevant body about these crooks. I'm glad you got your tickets. I must confess, I have given up on the tickets now.

I used them, they were fine!

But I was a customer where I used their service for several months.

Perhaps your thread would have been better off being called "free-loaders beware!"
    not fair
i've used the free trial about 4/5 times and had no problems...but unlike yourself i didnt lose any money paying for a substandard service (they have nothing on blockbuster or lovefilm IMO - both of which i'm happy to pay for)
