If you think very carefully about it all it shouldn't be like this, i sense the pain and the deperation on these board from ftb wannabees everyday, it isn't right and i do have sympathy for these people.

Why feel pain and desperation for them? If they can afford to buy a house then they can afford to rent, and that's what they should be continuing to do in the current climate. What's this big urgency to get on the property ladder? Have you been sending them all scare-mongering PMs telling them that property prices will only ever go up again Mr. B ? :rotfl:

I dont keep track of these things but didn't Mr B STR at some point, but lose patience, and buy some time in Summer '07, about a month before the credit crunch bit?

If so, maybe the "ftb wannabees" should have sympathy for him.

    Whats the definition of crash?
A 5%, 10% or even 20% correction, is not a crash in my opinion, just a correction.

Personally, before it would affect me (i.e. negtive equity) prices would have to drop over 60%, then I would agree there was a crash. I just dont see this happening.

I guess if we are looking at a UK terminology for crash regarding house prices, you would have to know how much of a drop would realise the levels to the amount of outstanding mortgage debt. Up to that point is a correction, beyond would be a crash.
