For some reason £500 was transfered in AFTER the money matured and was transfered out. Anyone else had this? It means I have made 13th payments?
Did you cancel your standing order? It does not get automatically cancelled when the 12 months is up.

A 13th (or 14th in the case of some people) standing order would not bounce out of the account, since a deposit (or lack thereof) after maturity is what dictates whether or not the RS carries on.

Unless it was a second payment in the calendar month (but I would have thought that would have bounced before being logged onto the statement.)

No I didn't cancel it. I guess I will have to call them to transfer the 13th payment back out of the account now.

How come you got more than some others? What date did you open it and did you make 13 payments? I've £6500 in there, it matures 2 weeks and I wonder what I'm going to get...

Sorry forgot to mention I also had more than 5K in guaranteed saver so I qualified for 12% on my regular saver. I opened it 16 June 2008 and made 13 payments. Although I payed in 13 payments, these were on different dates some months, it is possible to get more than the £309 I got.

    Here are the transactions:

    16 Jun 2009 Transfer - 6,809.97 0.00
    16 Jun 2009 Interest Credited - 309.97 6,809.97
    03 Jun 2009 Bank Credit - 500.00 6,500.00
    13 May 2009 Bank Credit - 500.00 6,000.00
    16 Apr 2009 Bank Credit - 500.00 5,500.00
    12 Mar 2009 Bank Credit - 500.00 5,000.00
    12 Feb 2009 Bank Credit - 500.00 4,500.00
    14 Jan 2009 Bank Credit - 500.00 4,000.00
    12 Dec 2008 Bank Credit - 500.00 3,500.00
    12 Nov 2008 Bank Credit - 500.00 3,000.00
    28 Oct 2008 Bank Credit - 500.00 2,500.00
    26 Sep 2008 Bank Credit - 500.00 2,000.00
    28 Aug 2008 Bank Credit - 500.00 1,500.00
    28 Jul 2008 Bank Credit - 500.00 1,000.00
    16 Jun 2008 Opening Transaction 500.00 500.00

If you opened the account at the optimum point (27th June) and made a further 12 payments on the optimum dates (1st), you could get

    £440.71 gross @ 12% or
    £367.26 gross @ 10%

I have been trying to withdraw the matured RS money from the Halifax Web Saver (Variable) but keep getting the message "Unfortunately payments are not available from the account you selected"

Just wondered if I was missing something obvious before I ring them (to close the account)

mine matured this morning and i am having the same message when trying to either close the account or transfer money. anyone any ideas?!

Yes, I had this problem yesterday and phoned them. Apparently you can't make an electronic payment until 24 hours after the money has come across. No explanation of why this should be the case.
