So you are admitting that you will be paying the sellers back then?

No. I didn't. Some little p!ssant must've complained to the mods or something. I deleted nothing. If the mod who deleted it was honest enough to say so on here, you wouldn't have made this post I am responding to.

I stand by everything I said. My contempt for the barrack-room lawyers that infest this thread. I have done nothing 'criminal'. Never would.

If you have a problem with your posts being removed and would like guidance on the fourm posting rules then you can contact the abuse team by clicking on the little red triangle on any post, try mine for instance.

The new SNP policy means that you are one of the highest risk sellers on eBay - with 4/5 sales a month, it will only take one unjustified neg or neutral to put you on 30 days suspension, and if you can not list anything in that time, then you will not have a chance to improve your score, leading to permanent suspension.

I agree, feedback was never the best, but it's effectiveness as a performance indicator has been devalued even more now, yet it is being used as the number one method of ridding the site of small sellers.
Exactly. This is the problem. Any ebay business that relies on small but high value sales, can literally have their whole business end up down the toilet with 1 neg from an idiot. Where's the protection for genuine sellers? It has now become non-existent. I am incredulous that ebay could have created such a ridiculous situation.

Sure, the feedback system wasn't perfect, but, now it is fatally flawed and far, far worse than before. It is buyers paradise, fraudsters paradise, and sellers can go hang themselves. What a pitiful situation. How can a serious ebay business deal with such uncertainty on a monthly basis? And those that employ staff? Their businesses that have been built steadily over the years are now hanging by a shoe lace...ready for the chop at the hands of anyone from a 12 year old on his dad's computer dishing out negs, to a rival seller with no scruples buying and then destroying his feedback rating with a rash of negs.

Again, I ask ebay, how long did you actually spend on this 'new improved' system? About 7 seconds I'd say.

I haven't read all of the thread but can relay my experiences after being suspended for a week for something I wasn't actually guilty of (the listing concerned did not break any eBay rules). There were many other listings from other sellers for the same item that were not removed so I can only assume I was reported maliciously and eBay didn't bother to check out their facts first before suspending me :

    1) The call center staff are at best useless and at worse lying *******s

    2) When eBay announced this system the spokesperson said that any emailed questions would be responded to. I sent over 20 emails; less than half were replied to and none of those replies even remotely attempted to explain why I was suspended. Not one of the replies came from the same person.

    3) After 7 days I received the following email (the bold was added by me):
    Dear *******,

Thank you for your email. I'm sorry to hear about the removal of your
    item ****************************

While we make every effort to ensure that we only take action in cases
where we have all relevant evidence, unfortunately it appears that in
this case, the action on your account was taken in error.

We'll refund the listing fees for the listing we ended, and you're free
to relist your item from the "Unsold Items" section of My eBay.

Please be assured that keeping eBay a safe place to buy and sell is our
top priority. We apologise sincerely for any inconvenience this has
    caused.

    Thank you for your understanding.

    Kind regards,

    ****************

So that makes up for a weeks lost sales and countless cancelled orders does it? Like **** it does!:mad::mad::mad:

Luckily I have a back up account so I just listed all my stuff on their instead :p

Needless to say, I'm moving all of my operation to an indepandent website and I'll be spending the £1k/month I used to spend on scumBay fees on AdWords advertising instead...

Unfortunately that breaches ebay rules so when caught expect a permanent ban.

    GOOD FOR YOU REPO!

No, it doesn't break any rules. I know several ebay businesses that have replicated accounts. Check out two BIG sellers who sell smoking products like papers, filters, tobacco pouches, lighters etc. for roll-your-own buyers. Same products, different seller names, same location and when I had cross words with one I spotted this and he replied to say it's "perfectly OK we're allowed"...

I think Soolin thought one of your accounts was suspended, rather than just having your listings removed.

So I assumed that when they said they then used a different account they meant while that suspension was active.

I really think if you are going to get so cross about things that you really need to read the rules *and* understand them.

    Here:
    http://pages.ebay.co.uk/help/policies/rfe-previously-suspended.html

    Ebay say:

Trying to avoid suspension or restriction by using another existing account or registering a new account, is not permitted. A suspension on eBay may be for a fixed length of time, indefinite or permanent and remains in effect until removed by eBay.

Just in case that is not clear enough they then give the example:
Due to a breach of eBay policy your account was suspended or restricted indefinitely. You then registered a new account with eBay. Registering that new account is a breach of this policy.
One of your two eBay accounts was suspended or restricted due to breach of eBay policy. You then switched all activity on eBay to your second account. Using that second account during your suspension or restriction is a breach of this policy.

You've probably got muddled because people are actually allowed multiple IDs, many of us on here have several. I hope that clarifies the misunderstanding for you.

Trying to get LC to see sense is like trying to push jelly up a hill with a poker.
