ordered mine today- rang up and they do have them in stock now.

I was previously on orange, rang up about upgrading about a month ago and was told after a number of calls to orange that I was on the top of the list to get the W800i when it became available. Fast foreward to yesterday and after numerous calls to orange about my upgrade I get told that orange will not be getting any more W800's untill christmas time. Only upgrade they could offer me was the K750i for Twenty- when i asked why it was twenty for existing customers especially when i average 30+ on my bill each month. I was told that Orange wasn't in the Habit of Just giving things away

    Roll on Bt! Hurrah Hurrah

  • Any idea if they are unlocked so I can stick my Vodafone SIM card in? Are they O2 branded firmware, I had big problems with a phone I bought from a Vodafone store before.

    Thanks.

Scooby-yes, I'm doing exactly that until my number gets transferred over this week.
  • Do you mean yes the Vodafone sim will work or yes the firmware is O2 branded. O2 are currently out of stock as I hoped to receive mine today. If they are O2 branded firmware I might cancel my order.

    A quick reply someone please!

Did everyone who bought this phone on the O2/student take out an 18 month contract? I thought it was for 12 months and just wondering if it is still worth getting one on an 18 month contract.

no i took it out on the 12 month contract, 25 a month for 100 mins and 500 txts, at the bottom of the page behind the 18month options it shud say 12 month click on that and it'll take you to the 12 month deals

    hope it helps

Thanks ali - I'd already looked at the 12 month but "he" wants the 400 mins and 150 text tariff which is £30 on an 18 month tariff. I think that's too long to be held in a contract - personally speaking:wall: .

surely it makes more sense to go for the normal (non-student) £29.99 phone via quidco...
their cashback is £35 putting you £5 in profit... with the student offer you have to pay £5 for the phone (no cashback). unless i'm missing something.
