I think ours would be us sitting with our laptops, probably liveblogging the wedding and uploading photos to Flickr as and when they happen..
(Not actually going to do that, I hasten to add!)Got married 23rd May 2009, many thanks to all on the Weddings and Anniversaries board for their help and support!

Hey Girls!
Sorry for not updating the list ill do it first thing tomorrow morning!
Had some chill out time recently, as the wedding was exactly a yr ago yesterday. Having problems with my OH recently. Just feeling abit down about it, but nevermind. Hope you girls are good!
xxI'm getting married in August 2015:j0 -
Hi All!
Seem to have neglected the wedding section a bit recently due to loads of other stuff going on! But now I am settled in my house, and have passed my exams, its all systems go for the wedding!
Been saving for it for a while now and the savings are looking quite healthy, and will be getting a large exam pass bonus from work soon & OH is doing overtime at weekends so should be in a nice position next month with regards to paying for things!
So far I have:
- Booked church
- Booked venue for reception & paid deposit
- Booked photographer & paid deposit
- Booked the car & paid deposit
- Made & sent out my save the date magnets, everyone loved them!
- Bought all the stuff to make my invitations and done a few things with them.
- Booked an appointment at a wedding dress boutique for 30th Sept to give me a bit of time to shift some pounds! Very excited.0 -
... Congrats to all you brides to be! Unfortunately, my fiancee is not signed up to MSE, so she can't join in - but if she sees all the thread and comments, I'm sure she'll be keen to join, if only for the wedding plans...
If it helps, she's getting married on March 29th 2009. Apparently I will be too
And yeah, I'm gonna print off that pic of the bride dragging the groom from the PC - that is most definitely how things are in our relationship!!! I think she has a phobia of anything that uses electricity... :rotfl:
PS On her behalf:
We printed our own engagement party invites, and save the date cards. We have a decent printer to try to print more, but I don't know what or how to find ideas for the invites etc to try to do them ourselves...
We've booked the venue for the ceremony and reception (two different places), and the registrar. A friend of the family's sorting out the wedding car, which he owns. The band have been provisionally booked, and we have no idea which photographer to use - they're all so good, but so damn expensive! Oh, and she's sorted out both her dress and those for the bridesmaids... somehow!Having fun trying to save money without going over the top and living on budget food all the time...0 -
