I've had their MAR/UC lenses that are what you're looking for, they cost £30, but they send all the packaging to you to send the frames back, this is pre-paid and addressed to make it really easy. I've use ciliaryblue so many times, I know their system inside out.

You're right. I just had to roll over the info icon to see that:
    1. Ultra Violet (UV) Block
    2. Anti-scratch (HC)
    are also included.

Now, I'm only missing a value-for-money frame as I don't want to send off the only pair of glasses that I have got. Do you have any recommendations for competitive frame-only online stores?

Does anyone have an experience of eyesright?

to reglaze my glasses, distance, standard lenses with scratch resistant coating would be £19.95.

seems a good deal so just wondered if anyone had any positive or negative experiences with them

I've used spex4 less quite a few times, although they do complete glasses too. I had an issue with a pair of prescrition sunglasses (were giving me headaches) and sent them back after 6 months and they sorted it out for me. Would definitely re-use.

And I've just placed an order with Ciliary Blue - just had to after all the fab reviews! Again, no PD supplied by optician but it seems reasonable that it's not something looked at unless you're buying glasses. Looking forward to being able to see again!
  • Hi just to let everyone know firstly I don't work for the company mentioned.
I sent my glasses away to get reglazed, reactions lens anti-reflection, anti scratch etc. Sent them on the Monday got them back on the Thursday no problems at all and the quality is spot on. I used CiliaryBlue.
My wife by comparison used Perfect Glasses she sent them her glasses via special delivery, after a week of no contact she contacted them(via email as no-one picked up the phone). At first they denied ever receiving her glasses, until she could produce the tracking number from royal mail and suddenly they found them, even then it took them a further two weeks to send them back.

    hi,

another post for CiliaryBlue. I have very bad sight in one eye so need a very strong prescription and thus ultra thin lenses, normally I pay over £200 for a set of ultra thin lenses. CiliaryBlue did my prescription for £70, one lens done and charged as ultra thin and other done and charged as 'just' thin.

Sent glasses to them on Wednesday morning, got email confirmation on Thursday morning that they had been delivered to them and a call later that afternoon to say that glasses were done and were posted back that day. Got re-glazed glasses back on Saturday....very happy with them.

Now getting spare pair done and will follow with sunglasses.

In total will be just over £200 for 2 pairs of glasses and 1 pair of sunglasses, when i got re-glaze at opticians it was £700!

Only issue was that I could not enter prescription on website as it is outside parameters so had to call up to give it – and that is when got the ‘special’ price due to difference in eye strength. So if in doubt I would suggest calling up

Just tried Ciliary Blue and unfortunately my perscription is outside there online facility - phoned them up and they sorted it, took the order and allowed the code from here.

Using Special delvier at £12 extra the whole lot is still only £8 after the cose (They even took the 10% off the delivery cost).

    Impressed so far.

Me and family/freinds have used ciliaryblue loads, but I noticed this morning they are offering for the day only, a free upgrade from the anti-refelction-scratch to the ultra-clean coating, it's on twitter and facebook, I've just ordered and got £20 worth of coating free. Bargain!

I got the info from their blog http://www.ciliaryblue.com/spectacle_lenses/
  • I was unsure about using an online reglazing service; found a few; checked out independent reports including those here. I opted for Ciliary Blue. They certainly lived up to the favourable reports. The service was first rate - quick, efficient and a superior level of communication that you don't expect these days - they tell you when they have posted the pre-paid box, when your lenses have arrived, when your frames arrived and when they have posted your completed order. From start to finish only a matter of days compared to 2 weeks when I have used a high street optician. Perfectly happy with the lenses. I have just sent another order full of confidence after my first order.
