I recently used them and had my cashback within 14 days, but it seems like alot of people have had mixed experiences, so maybe I was just lucky. Personally though I'd use them again

I am quite alarmed if they don't honour their T&C's

I am quite new to all this cashback and gifts but how is the consumer protected if a company doesn't honour their T&C's? Realistically how much power does OfCom have to protect consumers?

    Cheers

They aren't. Any they have they don't really use. Only trust this dealer on any cashback deal (auto or otherwise) if you are prepared to sue should that prove necessary. Most of the time it won't be, but when all's said and done they are a cpw company; once upon a time cpw was superb, now it definitely isn't. Apart from cashback problems people can't get through on their phones to sort various other problems out either.

Hi, if you go thro quidco you can also get another £20 per transaction cashback.

I've heard about quidco, namely through MSE forums, did a bit of research and it looks like mobilesDOTcom pay through quidco (apparently in 1 month's average) why would they pay there and not honour cashbacks? I am so confused, I've never seen anything like this.... well I am new to cpw websites that might explain it

Keith1950 .... buymobilephones.net looks a better option, also they seem to fair much better on review websites to mobilesDOTcom.
Anyone else has had dealings with buymobilephones.net? I might choose these people as opposed to my original preference.

What gets to me upon reading lots of reviews how can a subsidiary of The Carphone Warehouse amass such problems? Are they regulated by The Carphone Warehouse? Their website looks so professional

Cpw is actually worse than this subsidiary - so far. It didn't use to be. The best thing you can do is spend some time on here researching the various dealers and things like Quidco. Use the search facility on forums at the top of this page for key words to find lots of threads. It will be confusing; and there is often disagreement about lots of things. My own (much) preferred dealer is Mobiles2yourdoor/Phones4U at present (but NOT their shops).

Hi, Quidco is a 'referals' site. When you use them Quidco get paid a commision for refering you to the retailer. When Quidco ( or any other referal site) get paid for that referal they pass( some or all of )that commision on to you. This money doesn't come directly from the retailer but is from affiliates who are basically paid from a 'marketing budget' provided by the retailer. This cashback is totally seperate from the cashback provided by the retailer.I have tried many different cashback offers over the past several years both for myself and relatives and the only site I have found to be 100% reliable is buymobilephones.net. The only one of the larger retailers I haven't tried is Phones4u.

I've been reading the reviews but I can't see any specific problems about the automatic cashback.

Someone here has reported having to resort to legal action over not getting his automatic cashback:
