Auto Cashback from Mobiles.co.uk

I'm planning to buy a new phone and one of the best deals I've found is from mobiles.co.uk with auto cashback.

Has anyone had any experience of their auto cashback process?

I'm a bit wary of these cashback deals as they normally make you jump through loads of hoops before you actually get your money but this one seems quite simple (they just send you a cheque automatically after 14 days)

Probably a good idea to read through this thread first ;)

It's not just about the money
  • I have done, however that refers to the cashback you have to apply for.

Would it be fair to assume to autocashback has no such catches?

They are part of the carphone warehouse group.

These are not renowned for the way they handle cashbacks (including automatic cashbacks).

See reviews on the net (eg): http://www.ciao.co.uk/Reviews/mobiles_co_uk__87437

As well as all the threads here on problems with cpw companies.

  • Thanks for the post, very useful.

I've been reading the reviews but I can't see any specific problems about the automatic cashback. The other cashback - yes :)

What possible problems could occurs with the automatic cashback?

The money not turning up as promised is one possible.

People have only got paid auto cashbacks from other cpw companies after sueing them.

Indeed, there is a possibility that they could renage on repayment. But both Quentin or the other mobiles.co.uk knocker, Mobilejunkie, have failed to answer my previous questions on another current thread about any experience they have had personally of any payment from mobiles.co.uk not being met - although be prepared to wait up to 28 days after the promised repayment date and go on the basis that this will happen to avoid disappointment - and have not been able to challenge the rep who claims that his company has not had one non-payment claim in 5 years go to the courts.

In general, auto-cashbacks seem like a much safer bet, but do check out the deals with phones4u and their subsidiaries and choose the best deal.

Actually much of that is untrue - but this mobiles.co.uk knocker didn't comment on autocashbacks because he'e never used them.

With regards to this company's pedigree and truthfullness in the areas in which I am substantially involved, however, I can definitely vouch for them NOT honouring their t&c (among other things).

Hi I am new to the forum, and I was wondering if anyone can help me out.

I am due to finish my monthly contract, and looking at my options, I came across mobilesDOTcom and they seem to have fantastic phones and gifts, I am quite drawn towards a new contract with auto-cashback but I don't know how reliable they are.

They claim to send the cheque 14 days without the need to claim it:think:

Has anyone gone for their auto-cashback offers? If so how reliable were they? Did you need to remind them? Do they even pay it?

Thanks in advance, any replies will help me out a great deal in deciding whether to go for them or not

    Cheers
    Jon

Hi, seem to be mixed reviws about mobiles.co.uk. I usually use buymobilephones.net, never had any problems, cashback paid into your bank account after 90 days.
