Maybe if you just got ready meals for him and sat next to him eating your yummy homemade ones he would see and smell the difference and want HM for himself? Worth a try?

I don't menu plan as such because my mood often dictates what I want to eat, but I do decide what protein I'm going to have through the week. This week I had salmon Monday, chicken for tonight, tomorrow pork, Friday steak (yum!). This might get shuffled depending on how I feel when I go to get stuff out the freezer but essentially I'll cover all these through this week.
I then get veg in that I like and make stuff up form the store cupboard on the night. I'm a bit foodie so at the weekend I'll tend to pick a recipe and make that one day and the other day will come from whatever is in the fridge/freezer. On top of that I'm trying to start batch baking for lunch box fillers and evening treats.26.2.19/14.1.19: T MC 3629.26/3629.26 : VM 0% 1050/13876.59 : W 0% 100/1485 = 4409.26/18990.85 =25.17%28.1.19/28.1.19 Hubs 0% £400/£2,977 =13.44%SPC 2019 #073

When my Mum first got married she didn't know how to cook a pork chop or boil an egg. Now she's practically famous for the food at her parties - it just takes practice and a being prepared to fail occasionally.
You'll get there and even develop your own tricks along the way.26.2.19/14.1.19: T MC 3629.26/3629.26 : VM 0% 1050/13876.59 : W 0% 100/1485 = 4409.26/18990.85 =25.17%28.1.19/28.1.19 Hubs 0% £400/£2,977 =13.44%SPC 2019 #073

Hello everyone! I haven't been on here for just over three weeks (no intention of catching up with all the posts!), and I've finally had some sleep, so I thought I'd let you know that baby Irwin arrived 12 days late on May 12th by emergency caesarean. He's doing well, and breastfeeding is going well :money: , but reusable nappies haven't started yet
, but I should get that up and running in the next couple of days. However, spending diaries and grocery challenge have fallen by the wayside. I'm getting back on my feet now, so will bring the spending diaries back in and come in here regularly again. No idea what we spent in May, but yet again I'm going to aim for £250. I missed you all!
Mrs. Irwin

Congratulations Mrs. Irwin _party_
Dont feel bad about using disposables after a caesarean just take it easy for a while. ((hugs)) I couldnt even lay down for 2 weeks after mine and had to sleep sitting up.
Well done for breast feeding :T I breastfed DS for as long as I could and absolutely loved itIt's such a wonderful feeling. DS stopped feeding properly at 4 1/2 months when his 2 bottom teeth came through - wish I could have done it for longer. Take care

CONGRATULATIONS MRS IRWIN & BABY IRWIN
This, I think, is my first post of the June challenge and I'm posting on page 49!! How scary is that? I have no way of keeping up with all the threads so I'll say hello and good luck to all, welcome to the newbies, congratulations to those who are keeping within budget, it can only get better for those who may have struggled and I wish everyone success with the June challenge.
Mine changed slightly, as I am now trying the storecupboard/bulk method - one huge shop and then weekly top-ups to a maximum of £10 to see how long the stocks last - That is why my target of £40 per month for 3 adults looks so low - I was originally aiming for £120 per month, then cut it to £100 month and have now cut it further to £1000 over the full year.
First spend of this week (and this month) for groceries - £1.99 for a large carton of milk.I reserve the right not to spend.
The less I spend, the more I can afford.
Frugal living challenge - living on little in 2025 while frugalling towards retirement.0
