Mrs M - You go girl!!!:T :T :T
Absolutely brilliant, well done and you definitely deserve your fruit treats!
NewGran - Welcome to the club, it's definitely addictive and MUCH better than TV (Except Bones on Sky One with David Boreanas - nothing can beat that on TV!)
Jackk - CONGRATULATIONS! Enjoy the extra money and the great feeling you will now have!
All Newbies - You will love it here and you will love what it does to you wallets even more (Hark at me, sound like an old hand :rotfl: )
To everyone else - Have a great weekend and don't spend too much!
Just thought I'd mention, I was soooo good today, had to go to a training event in St Albans and popped into South Mimms services on the way back coz had to use their loos. I could smell the coffee all the way through and all the way out and STILL didn't buy one - the old me would have got a KFC + on the way out AND a coffee! That makes another NSD for me on the grocery front.:DLBM April 2013 - £29,000.00Vanquis CC's PAID - Debenhams SC PAID - A+L OD PAID - Asda CC £783.75Barclaycard CC £1400.78 - BoS CC PAID - Freemans Cat PAIDF/D Loan & CC £1458.96 - Santander Loan PAID - Mum Loan PAIDRBS OD PAID - F/D OD £1026.52Weekly Grocery Challenge - £95.00 budget / spend £-0 -

Never going to keep up with this thread this month, so many posts now each day, which is good I guess as many more watching their spending but I cant see my boss at work letting me use company time to catch up:rolleyes:
First spending day £1.80...4 pts of milk at local newsagent on way home.
Too much temptation if I stop at a supermarket to buy things I don't need:D0 -
Hi,
Been away for a week so I have managed to have a whole week of not spending on food. Mind you, I now have to stock the cupboards in the caravan (all 3 of them!:rotfl: )
Finally managed to defrost the freezer, so did a big shop at Mr A to restock. Spent £96.87  Mind you, this is my month's shop, so I should only need to buy F&v and dairy for the rest of the Month. It did include some whoopsies, including ham which has now been separated and is in the freezer.
Hopefully, I should be able to walk to the shops for the rest of the month, which should not only prevent me spending too much, but will also save petrol.
Came home from Asda to find DH digging up his flower bed. He has decided that he can spare a little bit of it for me to grow veggies :j He has also managed to nab a large plastic dustbin which will be perfect for growing potatoes in. I think I've missed the boat this year, but It'll keep for next.
Off now to catch up on all the posts. Thanks to all the lovely people on here I have managed to cut my hours down to 2 days a week, allowing me to spend more time with my gorgeous Children. :j0 -
Sosh....
You haven't missed the boat with the spuddly duddlies... they say allow 90 days... i will be planting some more tomorrow..and later in the week.... oooh and my 1st lot are starting to get buds on :j ....
mumzy..have added onto your may total..so you spent £66.59
Spendaholic... have you seen the thing in the news recently..they are saying that a lot of people are having to cut down on the organic foods now as they simply can't afford it  ..its crazy isn't it..that something such as basic foods can rocket so much in price.. Im just glad i have another couple of years out here...me thinks im in for a shock when we come back to the UK -6 -8 -3 -1.5 -2.5 -3 -1.5-3.50 -
As a newbie to the challenge I have some questions...
When is the best time to look for whoopsies? I barely ever see them which leads me to think I'm shopping at the wrong time of day!
Am I being a complete idiot by asking who Mr T, Mr S and Mr A are? I presume we're talking major supermarkets here but I have been known to get the obvious wrong before!PROUD TO HAVE DEALT WITH MY DEBTS0 -
