Evening all
Orkneystar.. the Lidl bread flour is brilliant..heck i dragged 20+ bags back with me from the UK at xmas..down to 3 now  ...even though we have lidl out here they don't do normal bread flour
Well I made it round Aldi and Lidl in tact... it did look a bit like i was running a zoo with the fruit that went in the trolley..but it should keep me going for the week-just..
It came to €40 and a few oddments ...but things like the meusli, mayo, flour and nuts will last quite a while.. I still have a few other bits to pick up and i have spent 1/3 of my budget  but im well stocked up nowso it should be mainly fruit and salad for the rest of the month..where have we heard that before :rotfl: ooooh just remembered ..:o Lidl are having an English week next week and have 400g blocks of extra mature cheddar for €2.99 which is half the price of mature cheddar in the NAFFI..so i WILL be liberating quite a few blocks of that

Hi everyone. O.K. my first official challenge starts tomorrow. I have declared £300, having reckoned that I'd spent £310+ in May. I thought things were going to be simple until OH decided we are taking the campervan away on the continent for 2 weeks in June, AND having a 2 night break with friends in a hotel on the Wye  . I'm sure that will cost more than the 2 weeks self catering on the continent in our van. We NEVER go in hotels these days..I think he's thrown a wobbly. Still, That weekend break, nor the fuel for the continent trip will have to come from my June budget, so I should still be able to keep within the £300---afterall there are as many Aldi's and Lidl's over there, as there are here.
Good luck everyone with your June challenge...I'm sure we are all helped by the amazing support on this site.:AFeb. G.C. From Jan 26th £350.00
First month..pure guess!! Wk. 1 £136.38 balance £213.62. Wk.2 £108.10p balance £105.520 -
Evening all.....am back in again for June! Overspent slightly in May (with buying clothes for DD from shopping budget!) but have reduced this months' budget accordingly..
My challenge for this month is therefore £360.00 - for 2 adults, 3 children (one in nappies) & for my contact lens solutions!
Best of luck all!!:T20p Saver Club #33 60p/£100

God we're sad - all getting so excited about our shiny new budgets :rotfl: . Don't know what I'm laughing about, just check my M & S card which I'll get the statement early next week and it's waaaay more than I thought, not helped by my car service which was just shy of £300  . Luckily the cupboards are stocked for a nuclear war:o , so need to stop lurking about on here and go through my cupboards and freezer and menu plan for the month:rolleyes: . So just a bit of fresh fruit and veg and a few whoopsies this month... so much for saving to go away:rolleyes: May be next month!0
