Evening All
Did a "Big Shop" in tescos this evening and spent £55.64 which is quite a lot for me in GC times. I had a £9 off £60 spend so couldn't not go and stock up really. There were some mad whoopsies. I got 4 packs of asparagus for 7p each (off to find a recipe for soup now:D), 2.5kg new pots for 5p and 2 packs of 6 salad toms for 3p:D:D:D. Milk was on offer but loads of other people have mentioned that already.
So lots of bargains to be had but the best "bargain" of all was that I bumped into an old friend from work I hadn't seen for about 4 years and had a nice old natter.
Off to bed now............night, night0 -
4 NSD in a row for me (then the ones at the end of my May month aswell) starting this month well
I do prefer not to go shopping in the hols so make do with whatever we can find. I'll need to go by Sunday to collect packed lunch stuff but hoping to hold out until then!
One day I might be more organised...........
GC: £200
Slinkies target 2018 - another 70lb off (half way to what the NHS says) so far 25lb0 -
Hi, I don't seem to be on the list so
Could you put me in for £300 for June please?
Went to Mr A tonight and spent £56.54 (although looking at my 1st receipt I can't see if the £5 off coupon was taken off).
I came home and had to empty, defrost and refill the freezer as I couldn't fit everything in. Got it all in with 1 shelf spare now.
DH went to the fish counter and I didn't really look at the before prices or the amounts in the shop but the thing that stuck when I was cramming it all in was 3 pieces of trout with spinach down to 84p from >£7.50!
I need to go and do another shop on Sunday as I have another voucher for this week. DH was squirming because it took a while to get the voucher accepted as it was a morrisons one. He was behind with another load and trying to pretend he wasn't with us but DD kept saying "Daddy this and that!".
Happy with my scoop really. I said to DH about what we had and he said the immortal words..............................................................
"Well we SHOULD only need fresh F&V!"
I'm off to bed now, stayed up far too late reading the thread and catching up. Will have to go over old posts as Egg website down. I can update afterwards. DH spent £10 in Mr A on Monday and I could have strangled him!
Nighty night peeps, TTFN.
Oooh- made notes while I was reading through- see if I can cut and paste......
Mudbath- haggis is nice steamed with mashed potato, carrots and swede. When you take it out of the bag fluff it up. Mmmmmmm!
Mouche, try to get some blueberry bushes for Christmas/birthday. Mine are in pots. Got them 2006 and I have fruit after 18 months! HTH. Will Asda deliver to your new area?
SFT, OB won’t be employed forever. I would just keep podding along with the savings as you have worked so hard for this and are so looking forward to it.
JennyBee- you can use the extra to start buying baby things!
Right bye bye!

morning all
gonna have to go to Mr M's early this morning for a sack of their spuds, as mine aren't ready for picking yet....i can't wait to be able to go outside and bring fresh potatoes in out of the gardenwill also have a look at their pork steaks as DS14 said he fancies 1 for tea
then i'm gonna pop along to wilkinsons cos they have 4 tins heinz beans on offer for £1.25 so i'm stocking up while they're cheap. also need some more tea-light candles for me burners, and a bag of compost to re-pot some of the plants in the house
then i suppose i'd better get myself home and do the h-work.....2 flippin teenagers in the house, and neither of them think to run a hoover round or wash the pots  at least DS14 is back at school on Mon, but DD17 has finished college now, only has to go in for exams. mind you she's working part-time at McD's till she goes to Uni in Sept, but i still think she could help a bit more round the house
right, thats my moan for the day over with, hope you all have a good onexx

Well tesco came last night, total 103 pounds, had 13 pounds off voucher and 10 pounds off in promos so it should have been 126 pounds. Got so much food in the fridge and freezer and not enough room in the cupboards for everything! Really did stock up. I reckon next friday I'll just have to get some milk bread, bananas and apples and DS birthday cake. I do normally make their cakes but there is a roary one in sainsburys that looks really good and he'll love so I thought just this once I'll buy one. I'm gonna have to go through the fridge and sort out a meal plan I think because I couldnt freeze some of the meat as there is no space in the freezer, had to even chuck out that liver I didnt know what to do with, since I cant eat it. I really did stock up on tinned toms and things as we were running low.
We did have to get some more easy up pants for DD for bedtime, she had been wearing DS baby dry nappies. But since she only has one at night they should last till nearly christmas time.0
