Took the kids to Lakeside today to browse the sales. I spent £35 on new clothes for me, but feel justified as they are the first new clothes I have got since the jan sales in 2007! :p

I also popped in the ELC, they have lots of their craft sets and books in the sale, many half price so I stocked up my gift box. As dd is starting nursery next term and already has her first party invite, I thought it was a good idea. I spent £66, but got £120 of goods. :D

Did my Monthly Mr A shop, spent £63.95. This also included charcoal for my Birthday bbq.
Thanks to all the lovely people on here I have managed to cut my hours down to 2 days a week, allowing me to spend more time with my gorgeous Children. :j

Hi all, I've not kept up with this thread this month I'm afraid, but by avoiding all the awesome recipes I've actually managed to beat my target (and by a fair bit) for the first time ever :rotfl:

I'm declaring June at £48.50 :D:D:D I know it's a few days early, but I know I won't be going shopping now til July :)

I very much doubt I'll beat the target next month as the freezer is empty, and the fridge and cupboards only have a weeks worth of food left in them, still, it's called a challenge for a reason - so please put me down for £60 in July again :)

At the moment mine have a mixture, in a big bowl they have 1 1/2 mugs of supadog 1/2 mug vytalin 1/2 mug porridge oats, i fill the bowl with boiling water and leave to cool overnight, they have this in the morning and later they have 3/4 mug of supadog 1/2 mug mixers and a tin of food this time the dry food is left dry for their teeth.
They are both big eaters and have this each everyday.

jackk-sounds awful but couldnt you just lessen their meat intake gradually until they are on just dry food, its much better for them as meat causes dental problems,(sorry-veterinary experience coming out)not a vet but worked on reception and get to see/hear and assist in allsorts.it would do you both a favour in the long run

Thanks Zoe, i appreciate your concern :D . I don't use commercial dog food, i feed them raw meat and bones, not everyones cup of tea i know, but they enjoy it, and are doing well on it.

Finally got my first whoopsies, in Mr A's, did final shop fo month, bought 2 packs 9 mini baps for 29p (was 49p) and 2 chicken quarters for 53p each (was £1.43). May not be much but I was proud of my little self, and even OH thought it was good. Milk not on offer any longer, thats a shame, we get through at least 16 pints a week.

    Angelnikki please can I declare at £398.74, I did it. :j :j :j

Can you please also put me down for £400 again in July, I will try to better it but as its early days and I only just scraped by I daren't risk less yet. Thanks for looking after the thread. :T :T :T

no,no,good on you..best thing for them really, its what they would eat in the wild afterall,im searching for a decent butcher at the moment as i want to get more bones for my two, when i dont use a chicken carcass for stock i throw it in the pressure cooker so the bones dont splinter, they love it,lol

  • Hi everyone!!
Would like to declare June's total at £50.54.
We are soooo pleased as its been a 5 week month for us. So will add what we've saved to our 2009 adventure and we've reached a GC savings total of£911.69 since beginning of the year!!

Hopefully this weekend we'll decide where we are going..need to add another picture to the fridge.

Been meal planning for July and hope to use up most of what is in freezer. Also we're away for a week.

Hope everyone is getting on ok.

As for feeling tired.. I feel exhausted...
