Hmmmm, that sounds a bit steep. I got my can of caramel from a local shop for £1.55. Would not have bought it if it was too much more expensive! I am often surprised how cheap some small shops are. This place also sells lovely Bottlegreen Juice and J20 much much cheaper than other places. We often stock up on bits when we take a drive out there on a Sunday as they have a lovely wee cafe too, with cakes for afters! Mmmmmmm
I wonder if it was a squeezy bottle rather than a can. It was definately £2.15. I'll need to check next time0 -

Soup! Lots of soup has potato in it and its scrummy and you can freeze if necessary-- also why not cook some mash, par boil some potatoes, and then freeze for another time-- if you have the freezer spaceJune Budget= £151.41/£150:cool:10 NSDs (with teenagers !!)= 8Reduced my overdraft a little today- slow but sure!:A0 -

Potato burger pie - basically grated potato and onions mushed together with mince and tom puree and baked in the oven for about an hour (I will need to check with my Mum for quantities as its yonks since I made it myself but its divine with sweetcorn and if there's any left over makes brilliant sandwiches the next day)
Fish pie, potato wedges (you can dust them with spices to get different flavours). The potato council have a website - www.britishpotato.co.uk/recipes with loads of ideas.

Hi,
What about gnocchi - haven't tried it myself but may be worth a go http://www.bbcgoodfood.com/recipes/1624/villa-valentinas-potato-gnocchi - first time tried posting a link so hope this works.0 -
OK...gotta be quick so scooze mistakes & try to decipher dodgy grammer plz:p
1. You can clean thermos flasks using crushed egg shells Brassic--obviously not ground, but smaller pieces IYKWIM. Egg shaells are also good for putting around your plants to keep slimy critters away.
2. How can you be so flippant Linz & off-hand about something soo  as a Bailey's custard! While I struggle to justify using the precious liquid in such a way, RECIPE Please!!
3. Love the idea for making the coconut gloop easier to handle Lucifer...I'm also debating getting one of those silcone sheets to help with rolling out pastry & stuff--have you tried them?
An-nn-d......deep breath.......we went to MrA & I stuck to me likkle list:whistle: .....ok just a few extras but those little wine bottles are 4-4-£5 so a couple to go in a "night in at the movies" hamper for Father's Day & they do a slurrupticious bitter cranberry mixer--similar to bitter lemon--that I can't see anywhere else so that's MY treat. Sold out of value rice or pasta:( & got a new chest of drawers for the hallway....10% off till Sunday I think, & the till took off £2 so in effect they cost £17-99.
Total spends yesterday £61-57 + £2-15 in MrT for the ice-cream & corned beef.
Question please? On mysupermarket.com, it said MrA had tins of butter beans on offer, but there was nothing on the shelves in the store yesterday. Is there a "policy" about advertised offers or is it guidance only kinda thing? Very green green-horn on these sites I'm afraid....:oFull time Carer for Mum; harassed mother of three;loving & loved by two 4-legged babies.

I think(and i have been known to be wrong!) that Mr A will substitute your item, but charge you the original price. Mr T and Mr S dont though, they substitute and charge you the new price.
