Can someone point me in the direction of the Naan bread recipe please- we have curry on the menu this week and I would like to do the old Domestic Goddes bit and rustle up some homemade Naan!

Will try to keep up a bit today

Welcome to all the newbies- its lovely here :D

edited to say thanx to Orkney Star and Guns&Banjos for sending your best wishes for Missy....the vet at the PDSA has said that she does in fact have a degenerative eye disease, and she will eventually go blind in one eye in the next year or so. he's given me some eye drops to try and slow it down a bit, but in herself she's still a happy little thing!

The cat i had when growing up only ever had one eye, didnt seem to stop him at all. They are so adaptable, much better at coping than we would be:o

Just wanted to post and let you know Hubbles loves the Bounty Bites and post a tip.

Rather than wrestling to get the sticky coconut/condensed milk/icing sugar into suitable size balls (I have no patience for pfaffing with these things) I tipped the whole lot out onto parchment paper on a small board, spread it out a bit, put another piece of parchment on top and smoothed it out until it was slightly thicker than I wanted the final sweets to be (allows for it to settle) and put the whole thing in the fridge. Once set I cut into squares ( a few irregular pices from the edge) and then coated in chocolate.

I now have a batch of fairly even bounty bites without getting any in my hair:rotfl:

If you ever saw the guddle I get into baking you'd understand why I take these shortcuts:p

I also roll out pastry and cookie doughs between parchment (or cling film if I have none) and have been known roll out icing for a xmas cake the same way.

I can't take full credit though - I saw Rachel Allen do it on TV:rolleyes:

I havent seen any other brand for ages! I've been looking out as I use condensed milk for baking, but only buy it when its on special. I noticed that carnation have expanded their range as well. For £2.15 you can buy a can of ready made caramel  Aye right!

ETA - Hmmm, read some more of the thread and other people have seen it for £1.64 as per mysupermarket. I wonder what it was that carnation were selling for £2.15 in my local Somerfield?

Hmmmm, that sounds a bit steep. I got my can of caramel from a local shop for £1.55. Would not have bought it if it was too much more expensive! I am often surprised how cheap some small shops are. This place also sells lovely Bottlegreen Juice and J20 much much cheaper than other places. We often stock up on bits when we take a drive out there on a Sunday as they have a lovely wee cafe too, with cakes for afters! Mmmmmmm

Aww thats a shame, but if shes a happy doggy then thats the main thing. I am sure she will adapt to her situation and get on with being a doggy! Give her a cuddle from me, ok enough off topic from me.
After yesterdays lack of NSD (was not an official one anyway) I am hoping to make today a NSD. Morning of cleaning, laundry, housework and hoperfully restful afternoon.
