    Hi GUys,

WOW! you wouldn't believe it, I have baked.... hob nobs, apple and cinnamon muffins, choc chip muffins, chocolate cake, nut brownies, tea cakes, belgian buns, bounty bites and banana flapjack. They are all cooling on the table... am feeling mighty proud and they taste delish!

Sent DH out for the potatoes and some satsumas and he came back with some juice too (how dare he! lol) so that was another £4 to my total but seem to be managing the budget just! Its raining outside so can't do much out there, my rocket is ready to pick along with my chives just need my lettuce to come on.

    Orchid96 - welcome back.
Oh you should be proud of yourself!
Im not baking so much this weekend as I EAT it!
I will look like a cook soon lets say :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:
Sausage casserole today. Roast pork tomorrow with roasts pots(from Mr M 69p per kilo)
Hubby made mint suce for tomorrow cos he loves that.
    Trifle and chocolaate cake done.
I took the cake out of the oven too soon(as I am known to burn things)and it sunk in the middle.
Put it back in about 20 mins later and it seems Ive virtually got away with it!
I will coat it with asda smartprice chocolate later.
    Oh yummy smells-but no-I mustn't!

Really annoyed with Tescos and myself. Brought two packs of walkers crisps (21 packs) for 3.09 each that I thought were BOGOF. Got to till and they werent apparently even with supervisor checking. Thought I was just daft until today and online they are BOGOF from the 5th. The stupid thing is I chucked the receipt otherwise I would be down there like a shot.

If you used your clubcard, go to Cust services with this & the card you paid on - they can trace the transaction - they may complain - but they can (helpline will tell you to do this, so it is head office policy) - you should then get a FULL refund of both packs and get to keep the crisps, as it is a pricing error

I've done this myself before - worth remembering. To be helpful, you need to know the date of purchase too - and a rough time would be good - but the helpline can trace this from your clubcard

Was trying for my first day to be a nsd and not too bad really as no spend on grocery but really had to get my 2 toddlers some shoes, so ended up at clarks, managed to get one of them a reduced pair of doodles but paid full price for the other so £22 lighter and that had to come out of my food budget so will update my sig...

Oh well, just got a pack of mince out of the freezer which dh is going to make burgers out of for the barbecue and also a nice pack of sausages which were good ones from morrisons that I got in the reduced section, dh also brought home chicken from work so will only need minimum for tomorrow, only have £22 in my purse to spend for the rest of this week but I should be able to do that as I have quite a bit in for meals etc...

Hope you are all having a good weekend x

Just been given some mint in a pot, want to put it outside in a pot in the garden (was told not to plant into the garden because mint spreads like wild fire) anyway:D what soil do I need to buy (cheapest and best) to put it in a pot? Thanks

    Eek a recipe request!

Basically I chopped and fried up an onion and some garlic, added in some grated carrot, herbs, tin of toms and wilted spinach, let it bubble for a bit! I did a layer of this, put on my lasagne sheets added some goats cheese mixed with soya milk (need to avoid cows milk) and did another layer of the same - bunged in the oven for 20 - 30 mins until you can bear the smell no more - then scoff :rotfl:

Sorry - not a weights and measures girl - was a kinda off the cuff experiment that worked - so I made it again:rotfl:
