I was on Ellidee, but cancelled for a bit due to DD2's oiks on hers..i didn't want it spreading to here IYKWIM. I will reopen it after hols. I was a bit like that at first..you will soon get the hang of it.
Wee update, have now made 4 cakes and house smelling very nice, i have to say. As soon as i start all the family ring up and get their orders in..bloomin bunch..DD1 wants one for Cornwall, on our way back home we are going to London to meet one of my brothers then back to Bath to meet the other..both after cakes. And of course we need a tester as well!
Bertie bean and his family are now onto the 10" poles and are way up them now..better start producing those beans!
Off to Wales later on as DD2 is going to a friends house for her birthday, then off to Alton towers tomorrow..my kids have a better social life than me!
After i get back i am going to have a proper recce and see where i am upto on the the debt busting front! Am chuffed that i have paid a small cc off, and i reckon the joint account will be looking quite healthy next month, am being frugal on hols as is self catering. so plan a lot of no knead breads and salads, stews and soups, DD1 is planning a barbecue one day as well.
Also pleased petrol is coming down..may even get an extra few quid back on that..
Hope you are all well.

Orders a coffee cake, swap you for one of my cottage loaves currently in the oven
...Linda xxIt's easy to give in to that negative voice that chants "cant do it" BUT we lift each other up.
We dont count all the runners ahead of us & feel intimidated.
Instead we look back proudly at our journey, our personal struggle & determination & remember that there are those that never even attempt to reach the starting line.0 -
Wish I lived near you to and I'd be your tester and you could show me how to cook some of those yummy things.0

I'll volunteer as a taster too.....0

Tonight we had a really delicious bean curry with rice.
I reckon came to about £1 in total as spices all in cupboards. followed by strawberries from garden ( not pinched from El's!)
So a nice budget meal..yum!
I am making the final cake for my friends wedding..it is a bit late, but wanted to make sure i was clear of lurgy before making it. I wished that i had done this one first as it is the largest one..ah well.
bought some bargains in town as well..just from cheap shop as needed stock for hols..only spent about £5, as didn't realise it was a sale as well..no wonder it was busy.
Hope everyone is well.x

Hi Taxi, just pop down the M61 and you will find i am not to far from you..anytime you want a tasting session just holler:rotfl:
Hi Bunny, hope you are well hun..and things are looking good for you at them moment i hope.x:D It is no secret i live in the land of Chorley cakes...better than Eccles and nicer scenery..well once you get away from the little chavs:rotfl:
I am just popping on quickly today as will have to go out in a bit..too nice not too..we had a taste of cake last night and it was good, so i am hoping they will mature for a couple of days with copious dabs of brandy on them..have to go to farm shop as run out of eggs and spuds..so may go to one further up at Southport just for a ride out. Then later tonight we have to go and pick DD2 up from Buckley so will wave to Miggy again on way past..
Have sold a few more books to chap on market..made about £12 so not too shabby as they were light summer reads...and i got them for about 50p or less.
Haven't sorted a menu out for today yet..i think as it is so warm it will be a salad..hmmm, and DS1 is bored so he has offered to make a nice crusty loaf to go with it..can't wait..so having a quick mooch and will catch you all later..keep well, and get out and enjoy the sunshine.:D

Ha! Bob, no wonder you wanted to race me on bean size!
Yours are runner, whereas mine are broad -well squat actually, of course yours will be taller than mine. But mine will be wider.
note to self-deal with this competitive streak, or lose friends0 -
Oh well it was worth a try Olive..maybe we should both grow runners next year..and have a race then...xBlackadder: Am I jumping the gun, Baldrick, or are the words 'I have a cunning plan' marching with ill-deserved confidence in the direction of this conversation?
