ahhhhhhhhhh sounds like a lovely day x0

Sounds a glorious day Linda!
I can't wait to have a few of those myself soon...Empty pockets never held anyone back, only empty heads and empty hearts can do that -Peale0 -
It was, the boys are watching Top Gear now, Jess is colouring in and I'm on here drying off in my dressing gown.
...Although I do have a blister on my finger from tying water balloons!
...Linda xxIt's easy to give in to that negative voice that chants "cant do it" BUT we lift each other up.
We dont count all the runners ahead of us & feel intimidated.
Instead we look back proudly at our journey, our personal struggle & determination & remember that there are those that never even attempt to reach the starting line.0 -
Aww sounds like you all had great days yesterday...i did too.
We decided to bag up a picnic and as we had to pick up DD2 at 7.30pm, spend the day in Chester..
Free parking in Chester in council car parks after 3pm!
It was lovely, did some shopping in sales as i needed a new outfit for wedding!Had an ice cream...we walked the wall, sat in the gardens and munched our fab sausage baguettes ( 50p smartprice, 3p whoopsie baguettes) and fruit. Then treated ourself to couple of drinks at a bar on the riverside..it is so nice when everyone is out enjoying themselves in the sun..
Reluctantly we dragged ourselves away to pick her up..then had a further hours wait in the car, as the coach was late and noone was there at her friends house to let us know about things (DD2s mobile battery had gone) Any way we got home at 10pm last night..but i have to say one of the nicest days i have had out for ages!
If i had known where you lived Miggy, i would have got in touch and you could have joined us for a drink..I waved anyway.x
so that was my day...hope you all have a good one today. I am ironing and changing beds..oh the joy!

One of the things I love on this board is that I can post:
"bet mine is bigger/better than yours"
and immediately below it, it says "the following user says thank-you to OliveOyl for this useful post" :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: and there's no hint of sarcasm.
It is because we love the banter..honest:rotfl: :rotfl:Blackadder: Am I jumping the gun, Baldrick, or are the words 'I have a cunning plan' marching with ill-deserved confidence in the direction of this conversation?

My 5 year old rushed up squealing 'OOOoooooooooooohhhh!!" and clapping her hands because she loves toms & cucumber.
I think I got about 3 slices before she grabbed the plate, scuttled across the garden muttering something about being in the trampoline if we need her.
I can't complain if she's stuffing her pink little chops with fresh salad!
Oh and then we had a huge water fight, I think hubby was the most soaked.
I love these hot summer days when the kids can play out all day, have a water fight, a bbq and ice creams, it's just what I loved about the 6 week holidays when I was a kid.
