Nope, clean house thing is nice & normal. For a given value of normal. I have to have everything tidy and clean - there's nothing worse than walking back inot a sink full of dishes, untidy beds and stuff on the settee.
Glad to see your own Eden Project is doing well - I'm considering an allotment - did have one but DD was too little really. Our back garden is all decking, which is very modern but Ive yet to find a runer bean that likes to grow in wood. This year I'm getting organised once and for all, and going to buy a house with my wonderful other half. And that' s final!

Hi Bob hun phew what a busy day you've had. Sorry if I'm being thick but how will you avoid the Rush hour if you plan to arrive at 10 ?
Have a couple of recommendations for you. Firstly The Penlee Gallery in Penzance but only on a Saturday. It's free admission all day Sat and the current main exhibition, Seascapes, is the best we've ever seen in there. Their other galleries are worth a visit too - there is a Museum type exhibition in the upstairs gallery. Best place to buy a pastie in Penzance is Rowe's on Causeway Head.Nothing is so fatiguing as the eternal hanging on of an uncompleted task. William James0 -

No you're not being thick, i was thinking if we have cleared Birmingham by 4, then Bristol by 6..it slightly knocks it, stop just after Bristol for tea and on into Cornwall arriving at Helston by 10..but depends on when the glut of traffic is...always a gamble..may even go later as i go on AA roadwatch to check on everything beforehand...so may even be worth setting off later at 7pm..but that could be a good 6-7 hours, we did that in May..hmm need to get my thinking cap on there...
Cheers for the heads up on the galleries as well..will have a visit. I love the Egyptian house there.:DBlackadder: Am I jumping the gun, Baldrick, or are the words 'I have a cunning plan' marching with ill-deserved confidence in the direction of this conversation?

I am away for about 10 days, as also going to Bath, then London..to see brothers..so your Troll might be quiet for a bit..

Yep i reckon that flylady woman has had an effect, oh and chorewars as well:rotfl:
I am worried my plants will droop whilst i am away..am leaving note for neighbour to water..i love decking as well. How about tubs of things and give DD a few seeds to plant she will love watching them grow. I used to make potato heads out of tights and things and give the kids cress seeds when they were little:rotfl:Blackadder: Am I jumping the gun, Baldrick, or are the words 'I have a cunning plan' marching with ill-deserved confidence in the direction of this conversation?

Pretty difficult to do a 7 hour journey without hitting some rush hour somewhere (unless you drive at night!) but sounds like you'll avoid the worst places at the bad times.
Sounds like you have everything sorted or getting there. Have a fabulous time.0 -
Thanks Miz, i intend to have a chill..as they say xBlackadder: Am I jumping the gun, Baldrick, or are the words 'I have a cunning plan' marching with ill-deserved confidence in the direction of this conversation?

I just noticed your new location! I'm pretty sure Cornwall might be quite good for trolls, you know? They have all those old tin mines, trolls can lurk there for ages. You will come back, won't you?? :rotfl:2023: the year I get to buy a car0
